hermione was walking through the garden when she saw him. her draco. who she hasnt seen since the war, only months ago.
"draco you came home!" hermione said running to hug him "yeah" he had a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
forget me nots.
hermione walked into the room of requirements to find it empty. draco had called for hermione to meet him but he wasn't there.
she was about to leave when she saw some flowers and a note, it said
"my love and joy, i couldn't dare to see your face in person so i decided to give you these. please do not be sad. i will always love you and you will always be my true pairing but due to the war we have to break up. i promise that when we get out of this we will be together again. i give you these flowers as a token of my love. a love that is for you and only you. my hermione."
she let out a tear and looked at the flowers. forget me nots.
someday she will see him again. he loves her and she loves him.
no draco i will never forget you, she thought before heading to the door of the room and shutting it closed.
"i am so sorry hermione" draco says rubbing his hand on her hair. she just nods at him, giving him a kiss, soothing herself and him.

hermione couldn't sleep. she was having many thoughts in her head. so she went to draco's room, just across the hall.
she brought her wand with her and put the lumos spell making light. she quickly got in his bed, him automatically putting his arm around her. she put her hand on top of his.
they layed in a comfortable silence for a while, just taking it all in.
"you love me? real or not real." draco asks breaking the silence
and without a second thought,
"real."

twenty years later, there draco stood playing with his son, they both were blowing on dandelions, making wishes. you could hear scorpius laughing, its a beautiful sight.
and then there's hermione, she's cradling her baby girl, isabella. its quiet for a while but then isabella begins to cry.
"shhh shhh" the baby gets quiet again
"did you have a nightmare? i get those too. one day i'll explain it to you. why they came, why they will never go away. but i'll tell you how i survived it. i make a list in my head, of all the good things i've seen someone do, every little thing i can remember. it's like a game, i do it over and over, it gets a little tedious at times after all these years but there are much worse games to play."
draco then looks at his wife when she finishes and he smiles. then suddenly scorpius jumps on draco causing them both to fall on the grass, both of their laughs are heard by hermione.
hermione begins to turn around to look at the scene and she begins to smile.
