( told in a bystanders pov. )
( could be you if you would like. )i watch him from afar. he looked different but it was a good different. he looked happier. watching him stare at her like that, turned my insides.
his hands were on his chin and his eyes were watching her every move. she laughed at something and he smiled at that.
he was happy. he was content. he whispers in her ear and she hits his shoulder lightly but nods her head. he smiles widely and gets up from the bench, bringing her along with him.
i watch as they walk out of the big doors of the great hall; someone sat next to me but i just watched them go. i knew who it was.
they loved each other, there was no doubt in my mind. it was there, written in red ink on their faces.
i feel blaise staring at me and i finally meet his gaze, "are you alright?"
"yeah," i look back at the door. "i know your hurt." he says, resting his hand on my arm.
"he loves her." i recognize with a deep sigh, "he does." blaise doesn't deny it and i sigh again.
"is it crazy that i wish that it was me?" my voice cracks. was i really that broken?
"no. not at all." he says, he squeezes my arm.
"his heart really has belonged to hermione since the beginning of time," i say with a weak laugh. blaise just stares with me, at the door they once passed by and we sit there in silence.
