draco was hermione's protecter. they had known each other since they were kids. living next to each other since they were both seven.
but with draco being pureblood his father didn't like his son associating with muggleborn witches and wizards but draco could care less.
draco was hermione's protecter, he protected her on the first day they met, when hermione was being picked on by other boys that were their age. making fun of her fuzzy hair and her bucked teeth. draco had told them to quit it or he was going to tell his father about this- which scared the boys because everyone knew about the history of draco's father so they left her and him alone.
he protected her on their first day of hogwarts, when some second year slytherin girls had been talking about hermione's teeth which made hermione cry. draco had told them to back off and when the asked why they should he said "because she's my best friend and no one messes with my bestfriend" and that had shut them up.
draco protected hermione when she was called a mudblood by ronald weasley. he didn't like that someone would stoop that low just because they could and wanted to. ron had tried to shoot a spell at hermione but due to his broken wand it had shot back at him and that cheered hermione up a little and that made draco smile.
draco had protected hermione when she was at the yule ball. ron had humiliated hermione which cause hermione to cry and draco didn't like that, so he punch ron in the face and went to comfort her. which then allowed hermione and draco to have their first kiss. and that's when draco figured it out, he liked his bestfriend or maybe even loved her.

draco had protected her at the second wizarding war. he had saved her life by pulling his aunt off her when she had her arm around hermione's neck then he apparated.
"are you alright? you gave me quite the scare? do you want me to check and see if you have an inj-"
draco had been cut off by hermione's lips on his. which led him to gasp and quickly recover putting his hands on her waist.
he sighed when they finally pulled apart
"why'd you do that?" he says out of breath
"because you saved me"
"and i'll always save you. till the end"
and draco did. he would continue to be her protecter after the war, after their wedding, after her pregnancy. till the end.
