Boy next door

Can Theo stop blabbering. I want to feel bad for him but I just can't. I know I'm his friend but why can't he accept I'm marrying someone else? Why is it so hard for him?

"Theo you messed up, ok? H-how did you be that irresponsible?" I think my voice cracked because I'm so tired of going through the same conversation again and again.

"I know I messed up Amora. But I will not stop fighting for you. That baby will not mess us up. Give me a chance." He responds. I look into his blue eyes. He gives me a small smile.

Just then I hear someone walk through the door. Of course Lucius heard that all. What else is new. The man listens to every conversation on planet earth.

"Of course you were listening. Just when I thought this couldn't get any more awkward." I groan. Lucius laughs at my pity  and Theo looks defeated.

"Lucius you have no right to barge in on a private conversation." Theo snaps. Theo standing up to Lucius? The world has turned on its head.

"I think I do. I think I do when it involved you hitting on my fiancé." He says. He's not wrong. If I heard a girl saying she was gonna fight for him I'd insert myself as well.

"Can we not do the jealous fiancé thing Lucius. Just get out Theo and let's not discuss this again, ok?" I command. Theo nods and shakes his hand on my thigh to signal he's getting up. Lucius squints his eyes at him and whispers something in his ear after he walks past.

"He's a prick." Lucius scoffs. I shrug as he sits down next to me. His white mock neck shirt outlines his abs. The red jacket he has on looks really good on him.

"Yeah, I suppose. He's been like that since we were kids. Always proper. On edge." I fluff down my skirt. I went long plaid skirt with little white top today. I'm excited for the weather to get colder so I can wear jackets and pants.

"He really loves you in that boy next door way. I'll never be able to compete with that." Lucius says. Theo is defiantly less severe than Lucius but in comparison, he's boring. Lucius keeps me on my toes and Theo is just a constant in my life. I can't see us being more than friends now that I think about it.

"Oh please. You have that whole playboy asshole persona. He couldn't compete with your reputation." I joke. He stares at me seriously, his brows furrowing.

"You like that about me?" He asks.

"Well, I guess so. When your nice about it. When your a possessive angry jerk it takes away from all the good things about you."

"That's the nicest thing someone has ever said to me." Lucius confesses. Really? That's the nicest thing? I fell bad. He should have nicer compliments than that.

A long stint of silence.

"So, erm, I should probably check on Raina." I suggest. He looks like he's snapped out a daze, his blue eyes coming back to their senses.

"Oh, yeah yeah. Defiantly check on your friend."

"Ok. See ya." I wave and walk out. He's just sitting on my bed. Tapping his finger on his leg like he did our first dinner. That's a cute little mannerism.

I knock on Raina's door and she lets me in. All her bags are scattered around the king size bed in the navy colored guest room. The TV is playing some American reality show.

"Getting settled in ok?" I ask.

"Yep. Anyway, let's go see your dress!" She shouts enthusiastically. I laugh. She always is so positive. I envy her for that.

"Girl, why didn't you make out with that sexy hunk of man?" Raina says. We are sitting on her bed, gossiping about our lives. She's very concerned at why I didn't break the tension earlier by kissing him.

"Stop it! The tension was too high. I don't know." I shrug and my cheeks flush. Thinking about kissing him makes my stomach feel funny.

Sure we've done a hell of a lot more than kiss, but I don't think we cared about each other. It was more lust. Since I got out of the hospital it's like we have a fresh start.

"What are you waiting for? Go find him!" She urges. I roll my eyes and laugh. She must think I'm crazy!

"What? I can't do that!" What if he rejects me?

"Your always talking about being sexually liberated, so act on it!"

"Alright alright. I'll put my big girl pants on." I laugh. I get up and she gives me a thumbs up. I giggle and walk out of the room.

I knock on Lucius's door. He opens it and looks down at me, confusion on his perfect face. I might as well just do it.

I pull him into me and kiss him like I've wanted to do for a while. The tension has been building and building and I'm only human.

He is shocked and first, but then deepens it. He lightly picks me up with his arms around my waist and shuts the door. He uses his tongue, making me moan unintentionally.

He begins pushing me up against a wall. I giggle when my back hits the wall, making him lowly groan. Our bodies are perfectly molded, like they were meant to fit together.

This kiss feels so right. Like nothing is lust, it's just pure passion. We really have a connection.

I stop myself before we can go any further. He steps back and runs a hand through his hair. He grins at me and I smirk back.

"What was that for?" He chuckles. I love hearing him laugh.

"You and me. We had tension that needed to be resolved."

"Well I liked it kitten."

"Of course you did." I say, faked annoyed.

"I like you a lot kitten." He says.

"That's not the word you used at the hospital." I blurt out. My eyes widen a I realize what I just said. Lucius looks unfazed.

"Hmm, what did I say again? Oh shoot, I forgot. Damnit."

"Figure it out. And when you do, let me know." I give him a peck on the lips and stroll out of the room, suddenly feeling a whole lot better than when I walked in.
