Best night ever

1 week later..

I smile at myself in the mirror and smile. Lucius finally agreed to come to the party one of my friends was hosting. He told me every day that he didn't want to get caught by the paparazzi, but he finally caved.

I feel a lot better. My ribs don't hurt at all and my concussion is pretty much gone.

I have on a high neck vintage top and some flared jeans. I'm gonna put my penny lane coat over because it's going to be chilly sneaking out.

You didn't think my parents were ok with me going to a rager 5 nights before my wedding, did you?

I begin applying my makeup. I go light on most of my face. I carefully add some black eyeshadow around my waterline then outline with some eyeliner. I love doing the smudged eyeliner look.

I let my brown hair out of the ponytail and brush through it. I pull out my straightener and straighten some loose frizzy pieces that managed to appear.

"Amora are you almost ready?" Lucius asks. I fluff out hair and step out of the bathroom. He's sitting on my bed tapping his foot. As soon as I walk out his eyes rake over body.

He's wearing a simple white t shirt with a flannel jacket over and some black jeans. If you didn't know who he was you would think he was a frat boy.

"You look... beautiful kitten."

"Your not so bad yourself."

A long stint of silence.

"Alright, we should get going then. Ladies first?" He motions his hands towards the window. I look at him then back at the window.

"Your sure this is safe?" I ask. We are on the second floor.

"Yeah I'm sure. I put a ladder out there." He explains. I nod my head. I walk to the sill and look down. It's pretty far.

Lucius puts his hands pppon the ladder to prevent it from moving while I step on. My hands grab the latter and I begin climbing down. I'm beginning to regret wearing doc martens.

Eventually I reach the ground. I don't know how the groundskeepers didn't notice a ladder sticking out of my window.

"Wait, how will you get down without someone holding it?" I shout.

"Shh! Hold it from the back!" He whisper shouts. Of all the times I've snuck out I've never gone out my window. I always go downstairs into a room and climb out those.

I go under the ladder and hold onto it while he climbs down. I come face to face with his crotch for a couple of seconds. He eventually makes it down and I get out from under the ladder.

We walk through the gardens and to the gate. Lucius types in the password I have known since 9th grade and we walk out. The night security have gone on break. Only a couple of guards far away from us are our patrolling.

We walk away from the palace. I let out a sigh of relief as we get to the main road.

"We did it. Now we just need to walk down this street and to the left. Her parents are some of our advisors and they are out for a week solving some issues in the north." I explain. He nods and we start walking. It's pitch black outside so we have our phone's flashlights on.

"You know I thought we would get caught. I saw this weird light coming from a tree and I could swear it was someone." Lucius says.

"Probably just a light the groundskeepers put in."

We walk in silence and turn the corner. I see cars lined up across one side of the street. The gigantic houses are mostly dark but I see that Hanna's lights are on. Most of the cars are parked in her driveway or near her house on the street.

We get to the house and I use her wooden knocker. I hear faint music coming from inside the large brown house.

I see a familiar blonde open the door and smile at me. She already looks wasted. She has a beer in her hand and her eyes are bloodshot.

"Hello you two! Amora its been tooo long!!" Hanna squels. She hugs me loosely and pats Lucius's shoulder.

I've known Hanna for a long time. We used to go to parties together but I never really connected to her as a person. She's just a little too crazy.

"This must be your lover boy! Heyy dude! Come in come in!" She ushers us in. I see hundreds of privileged teenagers dancing in her living room and drinking.

"Enjoy!" She says and goes to the bar. I don't know why I even came to this party. I look up at Lucius and he looks out of place.

"Have you ever been to one of these parties?" I ask. I assume he has because of his past but I don't know.

"No. Not like this." He says, looking at the corner of people doing lines of coke. I think I recognize one of the girls as the daughter of the chief of police.

I take his hand and guide him to the bar. I take two beers and hand one to him. He takes a sip and grimaces at its taste. I do too. It's really cheap. For being so rich, you would think she would invest in better beer.

A lot of people have special titles in this room. We don't really associate with our real selves when we are in these parties. We just have fun and try not to get the paparazzi involved.

"Come on, let's dance!" I say. Lucius rolls his eyes. I tug on his shirt and lead him to where everyone is congregated. We lightly sway and drink.

"Woohoo, shots! Shots! Shots!" I scream into Hanna's ear. She's standing at a table with Lucius and I and some other people I don't know.

"Woohoo! Best night ever!" Hanna yells. We take our fifth shot in a row. Lucius laughs and I put my hands up in victory. I feel alive!

"Come on, let's get high as fuck!" Hanna shouts, grabbing the white powder from the people doing it. What's the harm in doing it once?

"Alright, let's do it!" I exclaim. Lucius raises an eyebrow at me but then laughs and joins in. I'm glad he's letting his hair down.

****
I wave goodbye and stumble down the steps. Lucius laughs at me and skips around. I giggle and skip with him. Hehehe, skip!

We begin walking back but I can barely remember where I'm going. The things in my system are making my memories go to mush.

Luckily Lucius knows where we are going. I see his cute little butt turn to the left. His hair is all messy.

"Your cutie pie!" I snort. He laughs and begins walking backwards.

"You too! We are so cute!" He laughs. He stumbles back as his heel hits a crack in the sidewalk.

"Step on a crack break your mother's back!" I shriek. He smiles and we keep walking.

"W-we are sooo wasted." He slurs. I keep seeing this weird light coming from various places all night but I'm just too drunk and high.

"Mhm." I nod. We approach the gates but the guards are in. So, we go around the back.

"How we gonna get in?" I ask. Lucius just begins the fence.

"Stop!" I yell. Another bright light in the corner of my eye flashes. I look over, nothing.

"What? Climb the fence kitten!"

"Fine. But if I die I'm haunting you idiot!" I begin climbing the fence and I reach the top. I muster up the courage to jump to the other side where Lucius is.

We walk back to the ladder and we both climb up the same way we came down. It took a lot long because we kept stopping and laughing at ourselves but we got up back into my room.

It was a good night.
