15 years later....

***

"Dean get your ass down here this minute we are all waiting on you!" I scream up the stairs. Lucius laughs at me and adjusts his black tie.

"Alright alright geez." My 15 year old boy trudges down the left stairs. His messy wavy brown hair is all over the place and his tie is wonky.

I run my hand through his hair with a comb and gel and fix his tie. He rolls his eyes and taps his foot. I have to stand on my tiptoes to reach his head now.

"Honey I think he's alright." Lucius amusingly states. Vanessa plays with her frilly blue dress. I can't believe she's 10 already.

Her dusky blonde hair is wrapped up in a low braid just like me. We are both wearing blue dresses.

"Do you think the baby will be ok?" I ask. Odette, our youngest daughter, is a handful. She's 9 years apart from Vanessa so needless to say she was a surprise.

"The nanny can handle our little troublemaker." Lucius wraps his arm around me and we walk out the door. I see Dean bump into the door because he was staring at his phone.

"Dean will you watch where your going your going to hurt yourself. What are you even looking at anyway?" I scoff. He lightly blushes and quickly puts his phone away. I give Lucius a knowing look.

"Who is she?" My laughter can't be contained. He's red as a tomato.

"It's cold we should probably get in the car."

"It's June buddy." Lucius is also cracking up.

"You wouldn't like her. You know her and don't like her." He quickly hops into the back of the limo. Which kid do I hate?

"Who is it? I don't hate anyone!" I climb in next to him and Vanessa is giggling as I help her up. Lucius sits next to me and shuts the door. The driver confirms the location and begins to drive.

"Claudia." He sheepishly whispers. Ah. Raina's daughter. Raina married Carter Wentworth, a hotshot tech CEO. It's not that I don't like Claudia, she just reminds me of young me but without any goals. Crazy parties every weekend, failing grades, new boy every week.

"I don't hate Claudia. She's just... Claudia."

"Don't get your hopes up kid. You know how she is." Lucius reminds. I look up at him and he puts his hand lightly on my thigh. God, how did I get so lucky? He ages like fine wine.

"Claudias nice! She let me drink this weird stuff it made me feel funny.. wine?" Vanessa  recalls. I roll my eyes. Of course Claudia doesn't have the sense to not give children wine.

"So, you and Claudia? Ooh." Lucius raises his eyebrows at him, making him fidget in his seat. We love embarrassing our children.

The event we are headed to is sort of a reunion. Everyone we know coming together to celebrate Monaco's continued wealth and prosperity. That reminds me, Claudia is going to be there!

"Hey, you both talking about the event? A boy with a crown makes every girl drool." I glance to Lucius, reminded of his playboy prince phase. God, we were so young. So naive and stubborn.

"No. Now can we switch the subject? We are almost there and I don't want either of you embarrassing me!" Dean exclaims.

"Don't worry. Your mother and I will be busy and we won't have any time to meddle in your teenage love fest. Now put your crown on because we are pulling up to the building." Lucius grabs his crown from the pockets in the car we carry them in. It's a stupid status symbol but it's important that we wear them.

Everyone grabs theirs and Lucius adorably puts Vanessas tiara on her head. I'll never get tired of moments like those.

We all get out of the car and Lucius offers me his arm. Other people bow and curtsy at us and we nod our heads In response. Dean is nervously fidgeting with the bottom of his suit.

Vanessa gets the whole princess nod but dosent know how to stop. She just continues nodding until Lucius tells her to stop in between light laughs.

We walk in and everyone's eyes in the grand ballroom are directed to us. A round of applause takes over the room and we all bow. I see Raina and my moms and I wave at them. I also see my mom and Lucius's mom I lightly wave and they wave back.

Lucius and I begin greeting people. It isn't my favorite but it's custom to do it. Out of the corner of my eye I see Claudia and Dean, talking in the corner. Another blonde boy I soon recognize as Callie's son, Oliver.

After the whole Theo fiasco I eventually reached out to Callie and she told me her story. She was abused by Theo as well and was too scared to admit it. Her son is a wonderful boy, nothing like his father.

I notice that Dean is looking at Oliver with annoyance which shocks me. They both got along fine the last time they were together.

I also see Vanessa being twirled around by Helena. I'm glad she got out of that terrible marriage. She seems so much happier.

Same thing with Leo. A little while after his marriage to his ex wife they divorced because a fake marriage among two gay people never works. He eventually found love with his partner Tom.

I look at Lucius and squeezes his hand, indicating I want to be alone. We wrap up the conversation and walk to a private nook of the giant room.

"I love you. I know I tell you every day, but I love you so much." I say.

"I love you too, Mrs, Balcray." He wraps me in a passionate kiss that I'll never get tired of. No matter how many things thrown our way, we are invincible. We will get through anything, and become stronger because of it.

Everything is right where it should be.

*****
Hey everyone! Sorry for the long wait I wasn't feeling motivated. Anyways, this story was a hot mess. It was my first time writing on Wattpad.

I have a new story idea that I think will be a lot better so let me know if it sounds interesting. A women has the job of matchmaking essentially, and a rich business man comes into her office, looking for a partner. She searches for the perfect woman for him, all while they become very friendly. She helps him organize dates and such, all while they develop their own relationship that they aren't even aware of.

What do you think? I think it sounds like a really interesting topic but please let me know.

Ciao!
