Hello everyone. This time around we've got Nadia's backstory. This one is kinda fitting with the Black Widow movie coming out this year. I'm sorta excited for it but not as much as the other marvel stuff coming out this year (Spider-Man). Anyways, I hope you enjoy this backstory (:

Nadia POV
They say that the more mistakes you make, the more chances you have to make up for those mistakes. But I don't think I could ever make up for my mistakes. My story begins when I was first born.

Flashback sixteen years ago...
??? POV
"Is this the one?" I ask

"Yes sir, she's the most probable candidate for the program" a scientist says

"She doesn't look like much" I say

"That may be true for now, but her quirk perfectly fits your criteria. A lot more than all the other candidates" she say

"And her quirk being?" I ask

"We just call it, Silent Step" she says

"Hmmm. It'll do, put her with the rest" I say

"Yes sir" she says

Five years later...
Nadia POV
"And kick! And jump! And spin! Stop!" The instructor shouts

When she suddenly tells us to stop, one of the girls fall over from their position.

"Number 27! Meet me in my office after practice!" She shouts

Number 27 flinches and we continue on with our practice.

"Too bad...she was kinda nice" I think

Eventually practice ends and number 27 follow the instructor to her office. I walk back to my sleeping quarters and wait for my next assignment.

"Number 3! To my office!" I hear over the intercom

I stand up and leave my sleeping quarters and make my way over to the instructors's office. I knock on the door and wait for a response.

"You may enter" I hear my instructor say

I enter the room and see that 27 is gone.

"I've brought you here to ask you a few questions" she says

I nod and she continues.

"What do you think happened to 27? You have permission to speak" she says

"She messed up, so she was punished" I say

"What do you think that punishment is?" She asks

"The only suitable punishment for those who can not adapt and survive, death" I say

"Why do you think that's the punishment?" She asks

"Because whenever someone is called into the office after messing up, they never come back" I say

"If you were right, would you be upset with that?" She asks

"No, as I said earlier, if you can't adapt and survive then you deserve to die" I say

"I see. One last question, how do you feel about killing others?" She asks

I take a moment to try and process what she asked me.

"I'm afraid I don't fully understand the question" I say

"Then let me clarify, if you were tasked with the job off killing someone, how would that make you feel? Would you take the job?" She asks
