Chapter I

Taehyung and Jang Mi were sitting in the cafe where Jang Mi worked, with Namjoon and Miso. They all loved spending time with each other. They were best of friends.

"Hey Babe. Do you want to go out today?" Namjoon asked Miso.

Miso nodded excitedly.

Namjoon invited Taehyung and Jang Mi too but they already had other plans.

"Actually, we will be going to Taehyung's folks place, so we can't come." Jang Mi said.

"Oh okay." Namjoon nodded.

"Dress well. Impress your in-laws."
Miso winked at Jang Mi.

Jang Mi blushed. Taehyung wrapped his arms around her, giving a peck on her cheeks.

Taehyung and Jang Mi were nervous. It was the first time she would be meeting his parents. Taehyung had already met Jang Mi's parents before and they loved him. But Taehyung's folks were a little strict, so being nervous was obvious.

Both of them took their leave and went to a shopping mall to buy some good clothes for themselves. After three hours of searching and arguing, both of them purchased their stuff and left for Taehyung's parents house.

It was a beautiful villa with a lovely but huge garden.

"You ready?!"  Taehyung asked.

He held Jang Mi's hands tightly to assure her that everything will be fine but he was actually freaking out from inside. He knew that it was a little difficult to impress his parents.

Jang Mi was feeling too nervous, she nodded breathing heavily.
"I hope I do well." She said.

Taehyung caressed her hand.

He breathed in and out. In and out.
In and out.

They let go of each other's hand, when Taehyung rang the bell.

The door was opened by a slim and beautiful lady, who was Taehyung's mother.

"Taehyung! It's been so long." She said.

He nodded hugging her, rather awkwardly.

She was Taehyung's step mother.
His father married her after his real mom died. She had a son too who was Taehyung's step brother, his name was Kim Seokjin. But his step brother lived on America so Taehyung didn't knew much about him. Taehyung didn't like his mom and dad but he had to put up with them. Honestly, his dad didn't care about Taehyung much. He was still in contact with his dad because his real mom wanted him to.

"Taehyung-aah! Stay by your dad's side, even though he didn't treat us well. He needs you."
His dying mother had told him in the hospital. This is the only reason he still spoke to his dad.

Taehyung's mother died due to an accident she had while she was coming back from her teaching job.

Taehyung had not told his step mom and dad about Jang Mi. They were going to tell it together. He had just told them that he is coming home with his friend for dinner.

"And this is..?" His mother asked looking at Jang Mi.

"This is my friend Jang Mi. I told you." He said.

"Ohh. I thought it would be a guy. Anyway, come in." She said eyeing Jang Mi suspiciously.

"Make yourself comfortable. I will go and call your father." She said and went in.

"Okay."

"Do you want to look around?" Taehyung asked when he saw Jang Mi was looking around with interest.
