Chapter XVII

Anna called Jungkook out to meet the next morning and told him about how she broke the engagement with Taehyung. She explained him everything.

"Really?? You really love me?!" Jungkook was very happy.

Anna hugged him and they sorted things out.

"I guess I don't need to think of any plan now." Jungkook said out loud.

"What plan?"

Jungkook told everything Jang Mi told him about Taehyung's step mother.

"Oh god! She is so evil!" Anna said.

Jungkook nodded.

"Listen Kookie!"

"Ahh. It's been so long I heard you calling me kookie ."

Anna blushed.

"Well listen now. How about we make things right between Taehyung and Jang Mi?!"

"Wow! that would be great" Jungkook liked the idea. "Let's ask Namjoon and Miso for help too."

Jungkook called Namjoon and Miso out too. When they reached their, Jungkook explained everything to both of them.

"Wow. We should do something"

"I am so happy that they will get back together soon!" Miso exclaimed.

Jungkook thought if he should tell them that Jang Mi is pregnant. He was debating with himself in his mind. But decided not to tell them since he thought Jang Mi should be the one breaking this news.

They all thought of a plan.

"First. We need to make sure that Taehyung's step mother doesn't hurt Jang Mi's parents."  Namjoon said.

"I don't think she will do anything now since I broke the engagement."

Jungkook agreed.

"But she should be punished for causing that accident to Jang Mi's father!" Miso said.

"I know the person whom she hired to cause the accident. I will go to him and do something about this situation. Leave that to me." Namjoon said.

"I will go with you." Jungkook said and Namjoon agreed.

Meanwhile after some time at The Kims Villa, Taehyung was in a kind of a trauma after that dream. He decided to leave his father.

"I am sorry, mom. But dad didn't deserve both of us." He said looking at his dead mother's picture.

He packed all of his stuff and brought them down.

"Taehyung? Where are you going?" His father asked.

"None of your business." He said.

His step mother now no longer cared since the Lees called off the engagement. She now only cared about her son, Jin.

"You didn't deserve both me and mom. You left me there alone in the basement and you never cared about mom! The only reason I stuck by your side was because I promised mom. But now I can't take this. If you don't care about me one bit, there's no point sticking by your side." He told his father and left, slamming the door behind him.

When he came out of the house, he saw cops there.

"Is Mrs.Kim Nana inside?" One of the cops asked Taehyung.

"Yes." He nodded.

"Thanks." The cops went in, knocking on their door.

Taehyung's step mother opened the door. She was confused to see the cops there. Taehyung waited to see what all this was about.

"Mrs.Kim. you should come with us. We have a complaint against you that you caused an accident."

His step mother was shocked.

"What? I never..." She was cut off as Taehyung's father came out.

"What happened?" He asked.

"We have a witness too."

Taehyung asked the cops about it. They told him about how she hired someone to cause the accident.

Taehyung was shocked to hear that. He didn't knew his step mother would stoop down so low.

"Is the victim fine now?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes. Surprisingly, the victim's daughter agreed for the settlement when the accident happened. Umm what was her name again.. yes.. Jang Mi."
The cop said.

Taehyung's eyes widened at the mention of Jang Mi's name.

"What? You tried to hurt Jang Mi's father?? Why?" Taehyung was angry.

The cops took her to the police station before Taehyung could ask something else to his step mother.

Taehyung was boiling with anger.

"Wait officer. Did the guy who caused the accident voluntarily turn himself in?" Taehyung asked.

"Well kind of. But there were two guys with him, they probably persuaded him. Their names were , yes, Namjoon and Jungkook."  The cop said and left.

"Woah!! All these happened and I had no clue about it!!"

Is that why Jang Mi broke up with me?
Taehyung thought.

He called Namjoon immediately but he didn't pick up. He called Miso too but no answer, same with Jang Mi.

"Arghhh" Taehyung groaned in frustration.

"I hate you!!!" He shouted at his father. "I hate you for bringing that woman into my life."

His father ignored him and rushed to the police station.

Taehyung went to the apartment but there was nobody there.

Namjoon then called him after half an hour.

"Hey Tae. "

"Namjoon. Where are you?!!"

"Oh I am out. Listen, meet me at the Seokcheon Lake in ten minutes." Namjoon said and hung up quickly before Taehyung could say anything.
