Chapter III

"It's decided. Taehyung and Anna will get engaged in few weeks."

Taehyung was shocked.

Did I hear that right?!!
He thought.

"W-whaaat????" He looked at his father. "Appa! What are you saying?"

"You heard me." His father fake laughed.

"But how can you decide without asking me?!! For god sakes! This is my life! You can't control it!" Taehyung was yelling now. He understood his father was using him for his business.

"Taehyung! Calm down. Come inside." His step mother took him to the guest room Jang Mi stayed in as it was the closest to the hall. She asked Jang Mi to follow her too.

"I am sorry for his behavior. He can get hyper sometimes but you don't need to worry. The engagement will take place in few weeks." Taehyung's father assured the Lees.

They nodded.

"Taehyung-aah! Is that how you behave in front of guests?!" His step mother asked politely, pinching his cheeks.

He brushed her hand away.

"I am not a kid!!" He said through gritted teeth.

"Aigoo. Jang Mi! Come here. You tell him that this marriage will benefit him too. The Lees are very reputed people. Anna is their only daughter. If he gets married to her, he can lead a even better life." She said.

Jang Mi was crying now. She stood in front of Taehyung. This time, Taehyung couldn't meet his eyes with her.

"What happened to you? Why are you crying?" His mother asked Jang Mi, not really interested.

Jang Mi shook her head.

"Anyway, Taehyung. Think about the wedding." She said.

After a long pause, Taehyung spoke.

"I have decided. I will get married." He said.

Jang Mi was shook.

Did he really say that!!
She thought.

"Omo. Really??!! I am so happy. Come out. We will tell your father." She said and took Taehyung out.

Taehyung held Jang Mi's hands, and took her too, outside.

By now, The Lees had left.

"Honey. Taehyung has agreed to get married. How good is that!!" Taehyung's mother said.

Taehyung's father got very happy, his face was lit up but his happiness died down as soon as he heard Taehyung speak next.

"I will get married, but to Jang Mi and not to Anna!" He said looking straight at his father and holding Jang Mi's hand.

Jang Mi was surprised. She really didn't expect him to say that.

"Taehyung! What are you saying?!" His father shouted.

"Taehyung-aah! Do you realize what you are saying?!" His step mother was shocked.

"Yes. I know what I am saying. I brought Jang Mi here to introduce her to you as my girlfriend but I couldn't tell you yesterday. Let me get this straight, dad! If I will marry someone, it will be Jang Mi and not anybody else."

Jang Mi held his hands tightly, looking down at her feet.

"That is not possible! I don't care whom you are dating right now. You are marrying Anna and in few weeks is your engagement. That's it!" Taehyung's father stormed out.

Taehyung's mother gave a disgusted look to Jang Mi and followed her husband.

Jang Mi fell down on her knees, crying. Taehyung knelt down too and hugged her.

"I am really sorry baby. I had no idea my parents were planning all this. I am sorry. I love you and only you. I hope you know that." Taehyung caressed her back.

She pulled away from the hug and spoke.

"I know you do. I love you too. But how are we going to handle this, Tae?!"

"I have to find a way out. For now let's just go back." They both drove back to their shared apartment with Namjoon and Miso.

Namjoon and Miso were cuddling while watching a drama, on their couch.

Taehyung knocked on the door.

Namjoon opened it.

"Hey Tae! Jang Mi! How was the meeting with parents?!" He asked.

Namjoon noticed the sadness on their faces. He let them in.
Miso noticed it too.

"Tae? Jang Mi? What happened? Are you both alright?!"

Jang Mi hugged Miso.

Taehyung explained everything to both of them.

They were stunned.

"Tae.... what are you going to do?!" Miso asked.

"I don't know."

He sighed.
