Chapter II

Taehyung's eyes shot up, he looked at Jang Mi and hugged her. Tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Tae? Are you fine? Did you have a bad dream?"  Jang Mi asked.

Taehyung didn't respond instead he held onto her and cried. She rubbed his back trying to soothe his shaking body.

She pulled away and looked at Taehyung. He seemed really scared.

"I won't sleep, please." He said pleading.

"But Tae... what happened?"

"If I sleep, I will have that bad dream again. I don't want to sleep." He said.

Jang Mi understood that he was really affected by the dream and asking him about it probably will affect him more.

"Fine. Let's talk about something ok? Something good." She smiled.

Taehyung nodded.

She recalled the first time Taehyung confessed to her at the Lotte world. They were very happy that day. It was one of the best days of their life. They also talked about how Namjoon and Miso found each other. It was all happy moments that day.

Taehyung seemed to calm down a little now, after talking about all these good stuff. Jang Mi was telling him something else when Taehyung's eyes felt heavy and he fell asleep.

Jang Mi was relieved as Taehyung was asleep and hoped that he wouldn't get any bad dream now. Sometime after she too fell asleep.

In the morning they woke up as they heard the door being knocked.

"Taehyung-aah! Wake up!"

It was his mom.

Taehyung and Jang Mi looked at each other until reality hit them. They both started panicking. His mom can't see Jang Mi there right now. It would give out bad image of Jang Mi.

"What do we do?!" Jang Mi mouthed.

"Ohk. I got this." He whispered and hid Jang Mi inside his closet.

"Coming!" He yelled and went to open the door.

"Taehyung. Good that you woke up. Go freshen up and get ready. You need to dress well." She said.

"Uh-Why?" He was confused.

"I will tell you later. Just go and freshen up. I will remove your good clothes from your closet." She said and started walking towards the closet.

Jang Mi who heard everything was afraid that she will see her in there.
It would be too bad if she sees her in Taehyung's room and worse if she sees her hiding like that.

"Ahh! I will pick out my clothes on my own. " he said.

She protested that she will pick his clothes out but he didn't let her do it.

"Fine! I will just go. Dress well though."
She turned to go.

He sighed a heave of relief.

"Ahh I forgot." She stopped. "After your friend wakes up, give her these fresh clothes." She said handing Taehyung a dress.

Taehyung nodded and she left.

Taehyung's step mother tried to win his heart over many times. She treated Taehyung well, but he knew that she only treated him well because she wanted Taehyung's dad to have a good impression on her.

Taehyung locked the door and helped Jang Mi out of the closet.

"That was close." She said.

She took the clothes from Taehyung and went to the guest room, making sure that no one was watching her.

When Taehyung and Jang Mi were getting ready in their respective rooms, they heard the bell rang, followed by the sound of door opening and few people talking.

They quickly changed and went to the hall. There were few people in the hall. A girl with brown hair and her parents.

"There he is. My son." Taehyung's father said coming to Taehyung and patting his back a little harder.

"Ahh.." Taehyung looked at Jang Mi in a confused manner.

"Introduce yourself." He said to his son.

Taehyung had no idea who they were but introduced himself politely.

"Hello. I am Kim Taehyung." He bowed.

"Hello. I am Lee Anna." The brown hair girl introduced herself and bowed as well.

Then her parents introduced themselves.

"Let's have breakfast together." Taehyung's step mother said.

They all sat down to have breakfast. Jang Mi was about to sit down beside Taehyung but his mom stopped her.
Instead she asked Jang Mi to sit beside her.

Anna sat down beside Taehyung.

Jang Mi unwillingly sat down beside his mother. Taehyung gave her an assuring nod.

They all had breakfast. Mr and Mrs.Lee kept asking Taehyung about him, his hobbies, his dream and all sorts of things.

After breakfast they all gathered in the hall.

"Taehyung! You should show Anna around the house." His father said.

Taehyung unwillingly agreed, even though he was getting impatient as he didn't knew who they were. He assumed they were his father's business partners or something.

Jang Mi stood at a corner feeling a little left out.

All the adults started speaking to each other.

Initially Jang Mi couldn't make out what they were talking about but soon understood. She was astonished after hearing them. She felt like her world collapsed. She really didn't expect this.

"Jang Mi! I needed your help in this only. I want you to convince Taehyung about this." Taehyung's father said to her.

She stood there stunned.

Taehyung and Anna returned after sometime. He looked at Jang Mi. She had tears in her eyes. Jang Mi couldn't look at Taehyung. She felt so upset.

Seeing her like that, he was worried. He ran to her.

"What happened?!" He whispered.

She was quiet.

He kept asking until Taehyung's father spoke.
