Women and Z-weed

Our trip was advancing at a good pace after we found the essentials we needed to continue. We only stopped for some bathroom breaks here and there but otherwise, it was all driving, just changing the driver. Warren was starting to feel more like her usual self and she felt determined to get out quest done before everything was too late. 

- '' That's odd, a kid zombie'', Mack called out as we drove near a small, wandering zombie with a backpack. The kid, or the zombie, seemed to have a clear way to where he was heading too as he was unbothered by the noise of our car. 

- '' Is he going to school or what?'', Doc asked as confused as the rest of us. 10K took the kid out as we drove past him since we all thought that the sight was too miserable. After a few miles, we found another kid. 10K looked through his scope and told Warren to slow down.

- '' This one's alive'', he said and we stopped the car.

- '' It's going to take us forever if we want to save everyone on this planet like this'', Murphy grunted and leaned his head against his hand. 

- '' Calm down, we can't leave a child like this'', I said as I tried to see when Warren walked towards the child to speak with him. 

- '' Isn't it odd that there are so many of these kids on this road?'', Doc asked.

- '' Isn't it odd that they all had the same outfit?'', I mumbled, almost as just for myself. After some talking, Warren was walking towards our car with the kid. 

- '' Somebody, switch places'', Warren told and I got up and jumped on the platform of the car with 10k.

- '' He said he knows someone who could give us more supplies for our trip'', Warren explained as the kid jumped in the car and everyone greeted him. He was giving us directions about where to go and where to turn. After some time we arrived at a dead-end with a big gate that was closed. 

- '' Doesn't look like anyone's home'', Addy said as Mack got out of the car and started to walk around. He called out if there was anyone near before we heard a gunshot that landed right next to his feet.

- '' Get back in the car, you are not welcome here!'', a woman called out and we looked around and realized that we were surrounded by people with guns pointed toward us.

- '' Why does it always have to go like this?'', I sighed as I crossed my arms. 

- '' Calm down! We have your son here'', Mack called as the boy got out of the car and the gates finally opened, showing us a middle-aged woman with few other ladies around her. It was then that I realized everyone around us was a female. I got up from the car with the rest of our group and walked close to hear what was going on.

- '' How thoughtful of you to save our child like this, I'm sure his mother is DYING to see that he is doing okay. You know kids, they like to wander. It is rare to meet good people anymore'', the woman spoke with a friendly tone that was completely different from the welcome we got at first.

- '' You should keep an eye on him. We heard that you have lots of supplies in here. We don't want any harm to anyone, just asking whether it was possible to get some water'', Warren talked with the woman who gave me very bad feelings. 

- '' You can stay here for a night and rest and feast with us without a worry about the zombies. We are a totally zombie-free zone here. But your men need to stay outside. Only women and children are allowed to get in'', the woman said, making me feel even more alert. 

- '' Seems a bit problematic'', Murphy said but the woman shut him up. Warren looked at us for a while before nodding.

- '' That's very generous of you'', she said as Addy and Cassandra walked in with her. They went through the gates before turning to look at me.
