Flashback chapter
Flashback a year and half ago
Aleah's POV
"Leo, Leo come here come to mommy baby...ohhh yes good job!"
Billie was at the studio recording a song and I was at home teaching our little 10 month old baby boy to walk. He pretty much has it down slowly walking from the coffee table to me. He's already said his first words which were "ma" then proceeded to say "mom."
I heard Billie's car outside and I got extremely excited. I was holding Leo up by his arms as he swayed back and forth standing.
When she got inside she greeted me with a kiss and I told her to sit across from me. I figured she had an idea of what was happening as she looked from Leo to me.
She sat down with her legs crossed.
"Okay Leo, look there's momma, go to momma baby." I gently turned him around and pointed to Bil.
He slowly made his way over to Billie. Giggling the whole way as she held a bright smile on her face. Holding her arms out for him.
"Oh my god! Look at you bubbie yes baby come to momma!" He fell into her arms laughing along with her which put a smile on my face. "Ohh! Great job buddy! You don't even know what you did! Oh my god! I'm so proud of you little man!"
The rest of the day was spent with us sitting across from each other and Leo walking back and forth between us. Nothing but smiles was all around the room all day. Around 8pm Leo got tired and during the middle of him walking and just sat on the ground.
"I think we tired him out." Billie said.
"Yeah, okay you get his bath ready and I'll get him undressed and everything."
She nodded her head and I picked him up as we both went upstairs. Billie started his bath and I got him undressed and we both gave him a quick bath.
Billie sung a small melody and I gently rocked him back and forth in the little rocking chair we had. Soon enough he fell asleep and we put him to bed.

Flashback 2 years ago
(Billie's POV)
I woke up in the middle of Leo crying. I hurriedly jumped out of bed and rushed off to his room. I didn't bother waking up Aleah because I knew how exhausted she was and she needed the sleep more than I did.
"Hey buddy, what's the matter baby come here." I gently picked him up and layed his head on my shoulder gently bouncing him. I looked around for his pacifier and found it on the floor so I picked it up and went to the bathroom to wash it off.
I sat in the little rocking chair and gave him his little Milo plushie I got him and started gently singing come out to play seeing as how it always puts him to sleep. Eventually he calmed down and I clipped the pacifier onto his onsie so it wouldn't fall back on the floor.
"There you go. All better." I whispered to him. I heard a slight chuckle and looked up to find Aleah gazing at us as she lightly smiled.
"Did I wake you baby?"
"No, this little one did when I heard him from the bathroom. It's alright though." She came to kneel right in front of me, gently stroking the side of Leo's face.
"I didn't want to wake you. I know how exhausted you've been with your nurse stuff and everything so.."
She smiled as she looked up at me. "Thank you love, I appreciate it. Is he okay?"
"Yeah he lost his pacifier so I got it and cleaned it and everything and sang him a song and he was good." I gently handed him to her as she put him back in bed.
She turned to me and put her arms up on my shoulders as mine went around her waist.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
We shared a loving kiss and got back into bed.

(Billie's POV)
Moments like these are what I love about my life right now. Of course it isn't perfect and it's never going to be, no ones life is perfect no matter how much they think it is. But I can say that it's pretty damn good. I'm married to the love of my life we have a little boy and on the road to adopting a baby girl. As I looked at Aleah and Leo cuddled up asleep on the couch with a Disney movie playing I couldn't imagine my life any other way.
