(Billie's pov)
"Momma. Mommaaaaa."

"God boy don't be blowing in my face your breath stinks."

"It does not!"

"Yes it does. It's alright bud everyone has morning breath. What's up little man?"

So it was 9am. And I was awoken to the sound of my son whispering in my ear or rather my face.

"Mommy told me to wakes you up."

"And you did so stop blowing your hot breath in my face. Gosh boy go somewhere." I tickled his sides as he hopped off the bed heading to the bathroom.

"Babyyyy." I cried out wondering where Aleah was.

"Bathroom!" She shouted back. Throwing the covers off I checked on Delilah and Leo before I found my way into the bathroom circling my arms around Aleah's waist.

I placed a kiss to her cheek telling her good morning.

I took notice of the fact that she was dressed like she was about to go somewhere.
"Where are you going darling, we don't have anything to do today." I stated.

"You don't, I do. I made an appointment with a doctor."

"Is everything okay with the baby?" I asked worriedly.

"That's the thing, I don't know. I don't know and it's driving me insane. I need answers Bil and I need them now. I am not experiencing any of the normal symptoms of pregnancy that I should be. And that worries me very very deeply."

"Okay, I understand. Do you want me to come with you?"

She shook her head instantly. Making me furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
"No. You need to stay here with the kids because if something is wrong then I don't want them to see me breakdown."

"Mama I'm coming with you, if something is wrong-"

"Then I promise to tell you when I get back. Please Billie just stay here with them okay? The kids need at least one mentally stable mom."

My expression softened a bit at her words. I almost completely forgot that she has her own battles she's fighting. She may not tell me everything that's going on in her head but I have a pretty good idea and I know that it's secretly tearing her apart.

For a moment I almost thought I saw her choke back tears but she quickly covered it up.

"Aleah," I tried to go to comfort her but I knew that wasn't really what she wanted.

"I mean it. Please Billie."

I sighed. Ultimately giving in knowing there wasn't anything I could do.
"Alright. I'll stay with the kids."

She lightly smiled. Pulling me in for a short hug. "Thank you."

"You promise you'll tell me everything as soon as you get back?"

"I promise. I gotta go I'm gonna be late. I love you."

She gave me a quick kiss as she gathered her stuff. "I love you too. Drive safe!"

Delilah started fussing a few moments later so I went to go and get her out of her playpen.

"Hey sweet girl, it's okie. So what are we gonna do while mommy's gone princess?"

-

"No! No! Do not put that in your mouth Delilah! Look sweetie you put it on the paper. There you go good girl see that's pretty."

I have no idea why I thought finger painting with a one year old who likes to put every foreign object into her mouth would be a good idea. But alas here we are.

"Momma! Look I made a butterfly!"

"That's beautiful bub, you know mommy would love that she loves butterflies."

He smiled as he went back to painting. I looked down to see Delilah making hand prints on her legs. Of course.
"Oh Delilah baby- okay you're done for the day miss girl. You need a bath, in fact both of you do."

I took Leo's hand walking into the bathroom but before I could I heard Aleah come through the door and he went running out to greet her.

"Hey buddy. Is this paint in your hair? Billie?" She called out to me.

I came out of the bathroom with Delilah on my hip.
"Hey mama." I greeted.

"What happened in here? Why is there paint in our sons hair and on our daughters legs?"

"I uhh finger painted with the kids, while you were gone." I told her with a sheepish smile.

"Uh huh and you decided doing it with a one year old..was a good idea?" She asked as she took Delilah out of my hands. I took Leo's hand and we both went into the bathroom to give the kids a bath.

"Well I mean-"

"It's okay. It looks like you all had fun." She placed Delilah in the sink considering it was pretty big.

"We did. What about you how did your appointment go?"

"Well they couldn't find anything wrong with them so that's good, but they also said I should start having monthly check ups cause it is a little early to fully determine anything just yet."

"But they're okay like now? Nothing is wrong with them?"

"Nope." I noticed how she seemed more calmer than usual. A small smile upon her face.

"That's great. It seems it made you happy as well."

"Yeah it's like all the stress that I've been feeling has just been taken away from me. Like I can finally breathe."

"That's amazing mama. I'm happy for you and for our little baby."

Once we got the kids cleaned Aleah got them dressed while I cleaned up the room a bit.

"Oh Leo buddy didn't you have something you wanted to give to to mommy?" I asked remembering the painting he showed me.

With a bright smile he hopped off the bed running towards me as I have him the painting.

"What's this buddy?"

"A picture! I mades it for you!"

"Oh baby this is beautiful. I love it. Thank you baby."

I watched as they hugged with a content smile on my face. He ran over and hugged me before grabbing his iPad and going into the other room.

I went to sit over by Aleah as she had Delilah in her lap.

"And you thought he loved me more."

"Oh shut up. Here take your daughter I'm going to go shower."

"What? I can't come?" I asked playfully.

"Nope."

"And why not?"

"Because I said so." She said with a smirk.

"Rude." I scoffed.

"I love you!" She shouted from the bathroom.

"Yeah I love you too." I shook my head as I turned Delilah around to face me. "We don't need her. We can have fun on our own can't we princess? Yeah okie let's go."

"No more painting!"

"All right all right." I laughed as I went into the other room with Leo so they could play together.

For the first time in a minute I could say that I was actually content. I wasn't super stressed about anything at the moment, my kids are happy and healthy and so is my baby, Aleah is no longer super stressed about the baby which in turn just makes me happy.

I took time to actually soak up the moment cause as of this moment in time things were pretty good.
