Aleah
"Billie, please be careful with him you know he's fragile."

I made my way to the living room where Billie was quite literally throwing Leo up in the air. Leo was a bit of an accident prone kid. He was almost always finding ways to get hurt.

"He's not 'fragile' baby, he's just a little clumsy."

"Well regardless could you not throw him like he's a ball? Please? You're gonna give me a heart attack."

"Okay alright, here I'm gonna put Delilah down for her nap."

She Leo down on the couch, taking a fussy Delilah out of her playpen while I sat on the couch with Leo.

"Hey buddy, do you know what tomorrow is?"

"My birfday. I'm gon be three!" He held up three fingers proudly.

"Yeah that's right. And guess what? Me and momma made up a game for you to play tomorrow. It's a scavenger hunt. Do you know what that is?"

"Is...where you find things?"

"Yeah so we're gonna do that tomorrow and we're gonna go to gramma maggie's house too."

He smiled happily and laughed. I knew how much he loved visiting his relatives. We decided not to have a huge party until he was a bit older. It would be incredibly hectic having a hyped up three year old running around.

Billie came downstairs flopping onto the couch lifting him up into the air again.

"And we're gonna open presents and sing songs and you're gonna get to see mommas tree house she had when she was younger."

I immediately disproved the idea.
"Uh no. He is not going in that unstable thing."

"Oh c'mon mama it's completely safe."
I looked at her like she was insane. (Cause at times she kinda was.)

"Safe? Billie it hasn't been used in almost ten years." I argued.

"I'll be up there with him, Leah it'll be fine. If you want you can come up there too."

"Honey did your forget I'm carrying a child? Your child? I cannot get my pregnant ass up there."

"You're only 3 months baby. You'll be fine. I'll make sure nothing happens to you, him or the baby. Okay? C'mon love it'll be fun."
She gave me a look as I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Please mommy?" Leo looked up at me with practically the same look Billie did making me giggle.

"Y'all two are literally the same person. Alright fine."

Leo yelled happily as he climbed on top of me laughing.

(Billie's pov)
I would probably say this on every birthday but it was so hard to fathom that this little man was about to be three years old. It seems like only last week I was bringing him home from the hospital.

Sometimes I can really hate change but at the same time I can love it. I just don't want him to grow up. Him or Delilah really. But even when they do they'll always be my little babies no matter what.

We had put Leo and Delilah down for their nap about an hour ago so they should be waking up soon so I decided to make lunch for all of us. In the middle of it I could already hear the little pitter patter of my kids feet. I walked over and peeked my head out from the kitchen to see Leo practically running down the stairs. God if Aleah saw that she would have a heart attack. Speaking of which I didn't see her come down with Delilah.

"Hey buddy please be careful coming down these stairs, mommy would have a fit if she saw you. Where is mommy is she still upstairs?"

He nodded his head before running off to the backyard as I shouted to him to be careful. With a small chuckle and a shake of my head I turned the stove on low and headed upstairs to the kids room where she was sitting in the small rocking chair in the corner. Holding Delilah in her hands.
