Two years ago, Rosalyn and her mother, a commoner who the Mad King brought as a queen consort, were unexpectedly discovered by Reyr in that supposedly empty and deserted Tower of Magic.

For their freedom and the deliverance of the continent from her own biological father, the little girl tried her best to be of assistance to the revolutionary by researching the theory and mechanics of assembling magical devices. Since then, she became a pivotal individual who brought numerous benefits to the rebel organization and eventually became one of the generals.

As a general, she is entrusted to manufacture and produce various magical devices that are of use to the lord, as well as the experimenting and tinkering of the devices that the organization has retrieved from the Mad King's army. She did all of this thinking that it was a way for her to atone for her guilt of being the Mad King's daughter.

Although Umi never thought that it was her fault, Rosalyn even insisted that she did not deserve to be called a princess.

"Please treat me as a general when working but call me by my name for the other times. I prefer it that way, I hope you understand." Rosalyn put down her cup of tea as she glanced at the older girl before her, her eyes held innocence and purity despite the agony that she must be enduring.

After leaving the prince in a hurry, both of them decided to have tea inside Umi's chambers so as to avoid being seen by the public since Rosalyn's identity is still a secret to the others. Only a few high-ranking individuals know of her as a general but only the other generals and the lord know of her as a princess. Well, Umi might now be an addition to those who know.

Umi nodded. "I understand, Rosalyn."

Rosalyn smiled with grace. "I heard a lot of good things about you from Reyr. He said that you are a genius and is a promising fighter. The general is quite fond of you."

Upon hearing this, Umi is quite relieved that her portrayal of the assigned character was properly conveyed to the others. But she was also confused about what made Reyr say so. If Cage and her grandparents, or the people from the small village, were to say that about her, Umi wouldn't question why. She had been displaying her brilliance for five years while living with them, so much so that she was almost tired of hearing, "My granddaughter is a genius!" from her grandparents.

Aside from showing her proficiency in herbs and plants, brewing tonics and potions out of those herbs, also displaying her prowess in martial arts partially due to the help of her past lessons and Mochi's share of theories in the field, Umi believes she didn't really do much to be labeled as a genius by Reyr. Besides, her plans to further display her brilliant mind for the plot is still on delay as she was still getting accustomed to the new place.

"It is an honor to be complimented by a general," Umi replied, not even attempting to deny the gratitude.

Rosalyn smiled gently but later on, her sweet smile somewhat turned into something of bitterness. "It's my first time to have a chat and sit for a tea with someone else other than my mother."

"You can always look for me if you are craving tea," Umi said, her eyes meeting Rosalyn's ones. "How do you find the tea? It is something that my grandfather had made. It is said that this tea was made to calm one's mind and replenish their strength."

Rosalyn took a sip of the herbal tea once again and nodded in satisfaction. "It is delicious."

Unexpectedly, a few droplets of tears rushed out of Rosalyn's amethyst eyes without prior warning. She attempted to wipe it off to erase the evidence but it was futile since more and more unwanted tears were falling uncontrollably as time goes by.
