"Why are you grinning like that? You creep me out."

Mochi's tone was like a sharp ringing in Umi's ears. After a year of spending time with this white kitten, they have gotten close enough, and Umi eventually found out the true colors of this "holy" floating kitten.

The floating white kitten in front of her actually has a foul mouth if the goddess isn't around!

Umi, who was stretching the corners of her mouth, immediately frowned. "It has been a year Mochi and my face desperately needs an exercise. This student Fae's indifferent personality is taking a toll on my face! It is very hard to maintain a straight face especially when..."

Umi's ramblings were cut off when an 11-year-old is quickly approaching her side.

"...that child sticks to me like a glue." Her last words sounded like a whisper.

"Fae! There you are! I have been looking all over for you!"

Cage puffed his cheeks as he caught his breath when he arrived in front of Umi.

"I was collecting herbs," Umi said with a straight face.

A year has already passed by unknowingly but Umi didn't waste any time lazing around. She took her time studying the available herbs and tools that can be found in the forest. She even helped the village improve a lot better over the course of one year.

To showcase her brilliant mind to the others, she had taught the few villagers the concept of economics by teaching them the law of supply and demand so they can earn better and use their money wisely.

One time, when she had enough of shooting her poo into a hole located at the backside of their hut, she introduced the people here the concept of plumbing. Of course, she instructed to mold clay as pipes for the meantime because, where in this world would she ever find plastic ones?

Later on, when she was exhausted from fetching water from a lake that is worth a half day of walking on foot, she initiated the concept of a proper water distribution system through water wells and gutters for rainwater harvesting.

It was quite a busy year for Umi.

Earlier this morning, she and Mochi went to the forest to cultivate her powers. The day after she was adopted by the elderly couple in the small village, the pair has been sneaking out into the forest during vacant times to secretly cultivate. Mochi helped out a lot but never revealed his presence, so from a third point of view, anyone can only see a child practicing on her own. However, they both made sure that no one will see them. Fae's powers must remain a secret.

However, they can only sneak out a few times every week because of this little boy in front of them. Ever since they met, the boy has established in himself that both of them should be inseparably together.

"Grandpa Roy said to never wander farther inside the deep forest! Let us go back, Fae."

Umi found the boy cute sometimes, and over the time they have spent together, they grew close almost like real siblings, but if this continues, her precious free years for cultivation might go to waste for nothing.

"Cage, there's something you must know."

Cage looked back and curiously tilted his head to the side. He leaned closer, eager to hear the girl's next words. "What is it, Fae?"

If there exists one person that Umi can confidently trust in this world, it will be Cage. Even if he was cheeky as a mischievous kid sometimes, but he genuinely cares for Umi and gives her special treatment than the others.

So, with a brief moment of consideration, Umi told Cage about Faerin's identity in concise words, except the transmigration thing.

She told him about her being a princess, about the Tower of Magic, and her escape.
