Night finally came like an enormous veil of darkness that wrapped the entire sky to completely reveal the silvery glow of the full moon above as it watched every beating heart below.

The lonely glowing silver dot on the sky bestowed a steady light to the land under it. The night could have been silent and peaceful if it weren't for the cacophonies of the battle on the ground.

Yet, the full moon above isn't the only source of light for them all, for there were two other transcendent beings that were on fire. Literally, on fire.

From each side of the battlefield, the two stood firmly while opposing each other's flames as if to taunt to burn the other.

Umi manifested her glaring red fires on each of her hands while the Mad King covered his entire being with his own orange fires. Judging from the different colors of their own flames, the king's power must be stronger in terms of destructiveness but Umi did not see it as a disadvantage.

"You call that your power and you're even proud of that? Please, that is only 10 percent fire and 80 dogshit. Where's the remaining 10, you ask? It is still dogshit."

Umi ridiculed as she countered the Mad King's scowl with her own intense glare as they faced each other, both sizing up the other's flames in every passing second.

"Daughter, it seems that I will have to sew your mouth shut before I kill you." The Mad King frowned and Umi only raised an eyebrow as she smirked in response.

There was a reason why Umi never went for the King immediately. Killing him wouldn't solve the problem at all. If the phantom creatures that were left behind were to find that their creator has been killed, all of them would go ballistic and it will not be long until hell would fall upon the whole continent.

That is why Umi chose to painstakingly save the phantom creatures on every corner of the continent even if it took her several years. Her flames cleansed the entire continent, and the only thing left is for her to kill the one who brought this destruction.

Moreover, Umi didn't plan to purify the phantom creatures here for the ones left are evidently the most loyal, especially the dwarves and the dark elves.

The dwarves were transformed into phantoms but based on their movements, they have been completely subdued by the king's poison to the point of no return.

The dark elves are a different kind of race. Their skin is dark but glowing, and their hair was almost similar to abundant beautiful white threads that flowed accordingly in their every movement.

Their beauty was ethereal.

"This battle will be forever recorded in history. People will know of my glorious conquest!" The Mad King started as his flames swayed with the wind. "The dark elves, who have been pushed aside for decades, will now claim the lands and be worshipped as gods. Tonight, the dark elves will rise!"

Umi put her hand behind her ear and pretended to act as if she didn't hear the king. "I'm sorry, were you saying something?"

The King glared. "You witch! I will make sure to burn you alive! Your life will be on my hands before you know it!"

"Ah, it's such a shame that I do not care at all." Umi shrugged nonchalantly.

However, Umi's playful act was cut off when the dark elves slowly started to approach her. Tilting her chin up and squaring her shoulders, Umi stepped forward before signaling her army to stay behind.

The dark elves were vicious in their attacks. Just like any other elves, they can control mana in the surroundings too. However, years of hiding under the King's palace put them at a disadvantage, and they can only control the element of darkness. It was said that their shadows can consume any signs of life.
