Ever since the incident with the Mad King, Umi had never ceased considering the safety of the people in Obisidian.

Although she had already decided to cut ties with the rebellion, she only thought it was most reasonable at that time for she didn't want the Mad King's spies to be alerted of her connection with them.

Umi can't have the king attack them almost immediately.

Though to be fair, Umi had her own version of spies too, but in her case, she's the only one who can understand them.

Hearing the report of one tiny winged pony about the movements of the Mad King's palace in preparation for his final strike directed towards the fortress, the corners of her mouth couldn't resist lifting upwards. She then promptly covered her mouth with her hands to cover her vicious grin as she requested that the white creature finish the report before it flew outside in superfluous enthusiasm.

It was what she had anticipated.

The fallen female lead, who in the initial storyline was a bit of an ignorant bully and a somewhat self-centered little shrew, voluntarily crawled towards her demise with her own four limbs.

How truly unsurprising.

Yet, Umi couldn't rejoice in her heart for she was also concerned about what Shiera's reaction will be. Nevertheless, she couldn't do much about that female lead. It was only due to her own actions that lead her to a predictable end. That is the price Rosalyn had to pay for tricking her, even to the point of harming her own mother.

Umi disliked ungrateful people. Shiera, despite being still young when she birthed Rosalyn out of her own body, was the kind of person that anyone should be grateful for having her as a mother.

Oh well, that girl's death shouldn't be Umi's main concern as of now.

Umi's eyes formed into two downward crescent moons as she thought of her plans. Finally, she can now take the next step of her plans.

Even if Umi had already felt that she was approaching her limit, she had always looked forward to this event. Slowly dragging her heavy feet towards the outside of her tent, she didn't even bother covering up her darkened skin with a robe.

Mochi, who was lying on the bed and bored out of his mind, noticed her movements and his mood brightened up instantly. "Finally! Are we doing something fun today, Umi?"

Umi gave the kitten an indifferent look and shook her head shortly after to erase her irritation for the kitten.

Sometimes, the two just couldn't get along.

"The end of this story has already been decided." Umi stated before looking at the kitten once more. She then saw how Mochi was gliding through the air as he circled around the tent in a frenzy. Noticing the kitten's excitement, Umi then nodded with a crazed smile. "The only thing left is for it to happen."

Coincidence or not, her preparations were also complete too.

Mochi stared at the girl with a profound look. Staying in character is necessary for her mission to be a success. But, a character growth is also needed for a story to thrive. From indifferent to crazy, Mochi thought that it wasn't a bad idea.

With those words, she finally took a step forward and was immediately greeted by a horde of armored people clasping their respective weapons to their chests.

Umi was then reminded of how these people initially reacted when they first encountered her.

They called her a monster, witch, demon, or anything one could think of to insult someone. Umi just shrugged and only thought that their vocabulary wasn't truly creative enough to faze her. She had been a celebrity all her life, receiving hate is not uncommon for her.
