Heads up! As requested, this is a purely platonic Kuroo x reader x Kenma. Meaning that there's no romance! Thanks for the different change of pace! <333!

Honestly, this is more of a crack-fic, but enjoy!

Warning: Mention of needles! It mentions the fear of shots so beware!

"You tricked me! You said we weren't going to the doctors!"

   You accused Bokuto who grinned sheepishly in response, scratching the back of his neck.

"Don't blame me! Blame Akaashi! He said that you needed to get your yearly shot!" Bokuto exclaimed, earning a sigh as you shook your head.

It's probably not too late to back out now-

"And I promised Akaashi to take you so no backing out!"

"What?!?"

   You sulked as Bokuto dragged you to the doctor's office, already dreading what awaited you.

"Don't worry, Y/N! I made sure to get you the best doctor," Bokuto grinned which reassured you a little bit, nodding as you tried to convince yourself that the doctor's couldn't be that bad.

"Welcome! You must be L/N-san! I'm Dr. Kuroo and this is my assistant Kenma! It's nice to meet you, how are you doing today?"

It's that bad it's that bad it's that bad it's that-

"Kuroo! See? I told you I got the best doctor!" Bokuto exclaimed as him and Kuroo shared a grin.

Why did Akaashi let Bokuto take me to the doctors?   You thought as Kuroo and Bokuto seemed to trade phrases in a side hug, completely ignoring you and Kenma's presence.

"You know, this feels less like the doctor's office and more like a reunion," You commented, Kenma nodding in agreeance with you.

   As Bokuto and Kuroo seemed distracted, you turned to Kenma, trading some words with him before getting interrupted by Bokuto.

"You have to deal with this everyday?"

"Unfortunately."

   Suddenly Bokuto seemed notice you and Kenma standing there and aggressively patted Kuroo on the back with a laugh.

"Now don't let me take all the spotlight! Go get your shot!"

   All your worries that had washed away had came back full force at Bokuto's reminder.

"Now look what you did, baka! All my hard work of distracting her, gone!" Kuroo complained as Bokuto gasped, narrowing his eyes at his best friend.

"You're calling me an idiot? Maybe I am for calling you the best doctor!" Bokuto shot back, a small pout starting to form.

"You are an idiot!"

"No, you are!"

"Don't worry, both of you are idiots," Kenma reassured in a calm voice, earning a snicker from you as both Kuroo and Bokuto suddenly gasped.

"See? Even your beloved Kenma said that you're an idiot!"

   Kuroo held a hand to his heart, a fake-betrayed look on his face.

"I bet Akaashi thinks you're an idiot!"

   Bokuto gasped, now clutching his heart.

"You take that back!"

   While you were too busy trying to hold in your laughter, you didn't notice that Kenma had already prepared the shot, gently holding your arm as Bokuto and Kuroo continued to exchange back and forth.

"Hold still," Kenma said quietly, his words being unheard at Kuroo's and Bokuto's now yelling.

"I'm sorry, bro. I still think you're the best doctor," Bokuto seemed to sob as he and Kuroo shared a side hug.

Are they- Are they good now?

"I'm sorry, too bro. You're only an idiot most of the time."

   And before you knew it, Kenma had already finished the shot, cleaning up as Kuroo seemed to notice this.

"Wait, you're done already?"

   That's when you noticed that you had a band-aid on your arm where Kenma had did the shot, a shocked gasp coming out of you.

"Are you saying that you used my bromance with my bro as a distraction?" Kuroo asked, almost offended as Kenma nodded with his usual blank face.

"Duh."

"Kenma!"
