Baking - Koushi Sugawara

Uh, it's a bit long. Oops.

   Your lovely boyfriend, Sugawara Koushi, birthday was today and you wanted to bake a cake for him. Granted, you had no idea what you were doing and it was very obvious that it would be easier to just go buy one, but wanted to do something for the special occasion.

   And it was perfect that his friends had planned a volleyball meet up with all his friends so you had probably had enough time to make a decent cake.

"Oh god, what am I doing?" You laughed at yourself as you attempted to follow a recipe, but clearly, it was going poorly. Not only did you overcook the cake, but you also forgot the butter the pan so the cake was stuck in the pan.

   You tried to scoop it out in one piece, but failed and the cake just ended up being a bunch of chunks and crumbs on a plate.

"Perfect, now what do I do with this?"

   You tried part of the cake and it didn't taste half bad, but it still a bit drier than you wanted and it didn't represent a cake at all.

"If I just cover the whole thing in frosting, maybe I can shape it like a normal cake," You thought out loud, staring intensely at your 'cake'.

"Love, I'm home!"

   You sighed as your boyfriend opened the door to your house.

"Koushi!" You called in a childish voice as you heard Suga quietly laugh at you.

"Yes, dear? What is it?" Suga asked, poking his head in the entrance of the kitchen. Childishly, you pointed at your burnt crumbs with a pout.

"Help!"

   Both of you laughed as Suga walked to you, wrapping his arms around you. He buried his face into your neck, breathing in your scent as you sighed happily at your boyfriend.

"What is that supposed to be?" Suga joked with a smile against your skin as he pointed at your supposed-to-be cake, knowing that he would get a reaction out of you.

"What do you mean?!? That's your birthday cake!" You said with a dramatic gasp, getting out of your boyfriend's arms to pout at him.

"I'm joking!" Suga exclaimed with a hint of laughter, taking one of your hands as he grinned at how adorable you were.

"Hmph." You huffed, crossing your arms and looking away from Suga.

"Come on, don't be mad at me!" Suga said, hugging you from the side.

"Too late." You laughed a bit, breaking your mask and turning towards Suga.

"Now go take a shower and maybe I'll forgive you," You joked, pushing your boyfriend towards the bathroom.

"Alright, good luck on the 'cake'!" Suga teased, using his fingers for quotations as you playfully scrunched your nose at him.

"Go!"

"Alright, alright, I'm going!"

   You laughed to yourself as you ate another piece of your cake, starting to get hungry from all the baking you had done. You hummed a light tune as you heard the water from the bathroom stop.

   Time passed as Suga walked out in comfortable clothes, his hair sticking to his forehead since it was still wet. You had cleaned up your mess and stared at your plate of cake.

"It can't be that bad, right?"

   Suga took a piece of the cake and tried it, swallowing hard which made you laugh a bit. You hugged him from the side, resting your head in the crook of his neck.
