~Fluff~

"Okay, class. Today you will be completing a science project."

   There were groans and protest all around the classrooms as you rest your head against your hand.

"This project will be a partner project so you will be in pairs."

   The class then burst into whispers and quiet laughter.

"And I will be assigning the partners for you." 

   And then just like that, the whole class let out another wave of groans and protests.

"So the pairings are..."

   There were some groans and some excited laughter as the teacher called out names.

"...Iwaizumi and L/N..."

   You looked across the classroom, meeting dark brown eyes. You smiled at Iwaizumi as your heart sped up and Iwaizumi smiled back.

"Alright, the project is due this Friday and the work should be split evenly..."

   The teacher went on about the project as you cover your smile with your hand.

What are the chances, that out of everyone in the class, I get paired with my crush? I mean, thanks, teacher.

"Hey, L/N. I have volleyball practice, but we could work after." Iwaizumi walked up to you, a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, that's fine. Can I watch you play?" You asked with a smile. Iwaizumi took a quick glance behind you as his cheeks went slightly pink as he nodded.

   You ignored it as you grinned at him.

"Nice. So do you wanna work at my house or yours?" You asked, noticed Iwaizumi glances behind you. You turned a bit to see Oikawa with a teasing grin, his hands in a heart-shape at the two of you.

   Once he realized that you saw, he quickly dropped his hands and looked away as if he did nothing. Your cheeks were red as you turned back to Iwaizumi.

"W-We can take turns."

"Y-Yeah, that sounds good."

   You were sitting on the bench in the gym, watching the guys do practice drills. You knew most of them so you didn't have a probably with talking to them and occasionally cheering them on.

"Nice spike, Iwaizumi!"

   The Ace looked at you with a smile, nodding his head as he turned with pink cheeks. But since he was some bit away, you couldn't quite tell.

   You looked away for a bit and when you looked back, you saw Oikawa teasing Iwaizumi who had red cheeks and was slapping Oikawa. 

"Baka! Shut up! This is why I never tell you anything, dumbass!"

   You tried not to eavesdrop on them, but it was quite hard when they were basically yelling at each other.

"Aww, I know you love me, along with-"

"SHUT UP!"

   Iwaizumi had red cheeks and you pretended not to notice the few glances he gave you during the rest of the practice.

"Alright, ready to go?"

   Iwaizumi had already changed into his regular clothes and both of you were on your way to your house. You waved to the other players, seeing Oikawa drawing a heart at both of you.

Why does he keep doing that? There's no way he knows that I like Iwaizumi, right? Unless- No. He can't like me back, right?

   You guys got to know each other a bit better as you opened unlocked your door and let him in.

"Mom! I'm home! I brought a friend over!" You yelled, kicking your shoes off near the entrance. Iwaizumi did the same as your mom walked through the kitchen.

"Welcome, dear! I'm Y/N's Mom, but call me M/N," Your Mom greeted Iwaizumi with a grin.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Iwaizumi Hajime," Iwaizumi said while bowing. After a bit of talking, your mom waved the two of you off so she could continue cooking.

"So how do you wanna split it?"

   Before it got too dark, you waved goodbye to Iwaizumi planning to work at his house the next day.

"Bye! See you tomorrow!"

   It was Thursday afternoon and you and Iwaizumi were walking to his house to finish the project. The two of you would have gotten the project done faster if it wasn't for the occasional conversation that threw you guys off course, the totally funny science pun one of you came up with, and sometimes even playing games as a break.

   You got to know the boy in the last couple of days and your feelings for him only grew.

   Iwaizumi didn't have volleyball practice today since it was canceled so you guys made it to his house pretty early.

"Last day before it's due. We got this!"

   After a couple of hours passed of typing and finishing up the last touches to your science project, you guys were done. You sat exhausted on Iwaizumi's bed, leaning against the wall as you cleaned up the papers sprawled across his bed.

"Hey, what do you wanna do? We've still got an hour before you have to leave," Iwaizumi said who was sitting across from you on the bed. Neither of you wanted to leave each other's company just yet so you decided to play some games and just talk.

"Hey, um N/N?"

   You smiled a bit at the nickname that he made for you. You raised an eyebrow at the boy.

"Yeah?"

   You had your bag over your shoulder, just outside of your house. Despite your protest, whenever you were at his house, he offered to walk you home, which you couldn't just reject.

"I've been meaning to tell you this, but I like you, a lot. And was wondering if you'll be my girlfriend?" Iwaizumi confessed with red cheeks.

Huh?

   A grin made its way onto your face as you tackled him, nearly knocking him down.

"You don't know how long I've waited for you to say that."

   You pulled away, not too much tho, just enough to kiss Iwaizumi. You couldn't hold back the smile that started tugging at your lips which made the kiss a bit messier.

   You pulled back, a bit out of breath.

"Do you like science? Because I've got my ion you."
