   You were being dragged to a karaoke night at a local cafe by your friends. Oikawa, on the other hand, was the one dragging his volleyball friends to the local cafe. Both of you went to the same school, but never really talked since you didn't really have a reason too (Much to your dismay).

"BF/N! Do I have too? You know I don't like singing out loud!" You whined as your best friend dragged you by the arm.

God, I hate Karaoke so much!

"Yes, you haven't gotten out of the house other than going to school. And you need to show off! You have an amazing voice!" BF/N urged as she pushed you into the building.

"Plus I heard Oikawa-san was coming," One of your other friends giggled as you rolled your eyes at her and playfully pushed her.

"You guys are so annoying," You playfully said as you rubbed your temples. You guys sat at a table somewhat near the middle of the room. There was already someone on the stage singing as more people started to join in. 

   One of them being Oikawa.

"Hey, isn't that the guy you like?" F/N nudged you, pointing directly at Oikawa as you started to choke on your drink.

"F-F/N! You can't just say that!" You laughed as you gently hit the back of her head. In the corner of your eye, you saw Oikawa perk up at the sound. But thankfully, you had slapped her hand before he turned around.

Were we that loud to get his attention?

   Many songs passed as you and your friends joked around and chatted away. Sometimes even lightly singing along with the current song.

"And at last, our last karaoke song for today. 2 random people, come on people, point!" The person who hosted the event announced as there were cheers all across the cafe.

   All of your friends instantly pointed at you as Oikawa's friends did the same to you.

"Wait, no-"

"Hold up-"

"Ah you two, come one up!"

   You looked over to see who the other person was and saw Oikawa already looking at you. Your already red cheeks went into a deeper shade of red as you turned to BF/N.

"I don't think I can do this, what if he thinks I sound bad or that I try too hard-"

"You'll do good now get up there!" BF/N encouraged as she shook both of your shoulders. You slowly started to nod as your other friends started to say other encouraging things.

"Y-Yeah, I'm not bad."

   You walked up the stairs of the stage as you heard your friends cheering. Oikawa was already on the stage, grinning at you.

At least, it's someone I know and now some stranger.

"Ready?"

"Nope."

   Both of you got handed a microphone as Oikawa said a song name and the person pulled up the song.

"Seriously, Adore you?" You laughed a bit to try and release some of your nerves.

"What can I say, it's a catchy song."

Fuck, I start   You thought nervously as you took a quick glance at Oikawa and then the audience. 

"Walk in your rainbow paradise," You sung out, taking a hesitated glance at Oikawa who had an astonished look on his face.

I'm just gonna take that as a good sign.

"Strawberry lipstick state of mind."

   You lightly bobbed your head to the beat, your friends and some other people cheering. Your confidence slowly grew as you grinned.

"I get so lost inside your eyes."

   You didn't mean to, but you looked over and met Oikawa's eyes.

"Would you believe in?"

   You sighed in relief a bit as it was Oikawa's time to sing.

"You don't have to say you love me, You don't have to say nothing."

   You smiled a bit as Oikawa sang openly and you had to admit, he had a pretty good voice.

"You don't have to say you're mine."

   And at that moment, Oikawa winked at you as the chorus of the song, also the part where you guys sing together, started.

"Honey, I'd walked through fire for you, Just let me adore you!"

   You were surprised by how well your voices complimented each other as you grinned.

"Honey, I'd walked through fire for you, Just let me adore you!"

   As a couple of more lyrics passed by, you found yourself having fun as you ended up keeping eye contact with Oikawa, smiling as your heart was racing.

"It's the only thing I'll ever do."

   You and Oikawa repeated the same line, harmonizing as you let a little laugh escape your lips.

"Just let me adore you!"

"It's the only thing I'll ever do."

"Ooh, ooh. Oh, honey. Ooh, ooh." You let our voice do little trills and vibrato as you guys sang the last few lines of the song.

"Just let me adore you, Like it's the only thing I'll ever do."

   You heard cheers and yelling from your friends as you returned the mic and walked down the stairs with Oikawa.

"You have a really nice voice!" Oikawa exclaimed as you went a bit red and laughed.

"Thanks, you have a nice one also." You grinned as Oikawa scratched his hair a bit.

"Hey, you wanna go out sometime? And then maybe be my girlfriend?" Oikawa asked as you looked at him in shook.

"Y-Yeah, I would love that."

   Maybe Karaoke isn't that bad.
