I bolted up, shaking. I curled up in my blankets, my nightmares still rushing through my head. All the missions, in order, from my first stealth missions, to the last one. My stealth missions were nothing much, grab data and go, but a couple went off track, resulting in death. A lot of death. The next were hits. Taking out one person, and leaving no evidence. I had only done a couple of those, but they would haunt me forever. I shivered. Sometimes I was scared of myself, scared that I would switch, and attack all the people I called family, leaving me alone all over again.
Unknown POV
"We've found her.""Then what are you here for?"
"She's with the avengers sir."
"The avengers huh? Make sure to leave them a message. That this time, she won't come back."
Amelia's POV
I grabbed my blanket and got up to the abandoned floor that I had now claimed. When I couldn't fall asleep, this is where you could find me. I wrapped the fuzzy blanket around my shoulders, trying to stop the shivers running through my body. It didn't work. Something was wrong. I knew it. I don't know how, but I knew. I was about to get up and bolt, but I felt a familiar metal object pushing against my head."Don't move." A voice seethed in my ear. No no no. This couldn't be happening. They were gone. I reacted before him, pulling the gun down, a shot going through the wall, and knocking him out. As I looked up from my victory, the grin was wiped off my face. What seemed like a million weapons were pointed at me.
"Why hello there Acquire. We've been looking for you." I felt a prick in my neck, a tranq, and I slipped into unconsciousness.
Loki's POV
Why I did I even come back to this place? My brother and his, associates, annoyed me to death. Maybe it was that small cyborg girl. She actually understood me. I had already gotten up out of bed and eaten, so I wanted to find her. I walked to her room, knocking before I came in. No response. So I slowly opened the door, but I saw the covers thrown off. Where could she be? Then I remembered that Nat had found her on the top floor, the abandoned one, last time. So off I went. The elevator was painstakingly slow, and I ground my teeth, trying to be patient. When it finally stopped playing it's horrible music, and the doors opened, I stumbled back. Oh no. The room was otherwise clean, except for the large white wall, on the left side. A blanket was torn to shreds, splattered with blood, and pinned in the wall, a message, in blood, beside it. She won't be coming back. The blood was half dried, so they must have been here not that long ago. I stumbled back into the elevator, only getting half way, before pushing it down myself. I exploded out of the door and into the common room, where I found Nat."Loki? What's wrong?"
"Amelia." Her face blanched.
"What? Loki. Tell me!" She stepped closer, yelling the words now.
"She's been taken. There's a message upstairs." She was frozen, shocked at the words that had just come out of my mouth.
"What's wrong?" I turned to see Captain Rogers and Stark.
"It's Amelia."
"What's happened?" When I didn't respond right away, Steve walked closer. "Tell me."
"She's been taken. Upstairs, the top floor, there's a message."
"Loki I swear if this is another trick you're pulling." Stark accused me.
"You think this is me? You think I would kidnap the one person I was here for?! That I could cut her to make her bleed, and drag it along the walls as a message?! No Stark. She was the one person that I could actually tolerate. And now she's gone." I stormed out of the room. How dare he? How, dare he! Accusing me, just because I've done things I regret. I slammed my fist into the wall, leaving a big mark. I was going to find her. No matter what.
Nat's POV
I rushed upstairs. It couldn't be true. We had just found her, gotten her out of her memories. I opened the door and almost collapsed. No no no. No! This couldn't be true. Blood stained the walls, in the words, she won't be coming back, and beside it was her favourite blanket, ripped and stained. I calmed myself down. She would be ok. We would find her. I rushed back downstairs in my shaky legs, where everyone was waiting for me. I solemnly nodded my head, confirming their worst fears. Wanda stumbled and fell back on the couch, Tony stomped out of the room, Steve showed no emotion, but I knew he was devastated, everyone else was in shock."We need to find her."
"Does she have a tracker?"
"No, she wouldn't take one, too paranoid."
"I put one in her leg." I tuned and saw Stark. "Just for this reason."
"Well let's find her." I said.
"Well I would, but uh." He rubbed his neck nervously.
"Tony. What did you do?"
"Well she wouldn't take one so I stuck a deal with her."
"What kind of deal?" Steve asked.
"She didn't want one in her at all times, so I might have put one in her leg."
"I don't see a problem with that."
"Yeah well, uh, she might have to activate it."
"Activate it?! Herself?! Tony what we're you thinking?!" I yelled. There was no way we would find her with that.
"It was the only way she would agree! I had to do something!"
"Well let's hope and pray she remembers." Steve said. I sighed. This was going to be harder than we thought. Let's just hope she remembered to turn it on.
