A New World (Todoroki x OC)

Chapter 10 - Very Strange

I chuckle when Todoroki emerges from the crowds of people with an uncomfortable face on. He's holding small bags and I can't tell what's in them. Once he reaches my tree, he sighs and drops to the ground, making me laugh. "Well well well, looks like the mighty Todoroki doesn't like going into crowds alone, huh?" I declare with a teasing tone.

He looks like he just got done running a mile. He catches his breath as he shakes his head. I chuckle again. "You coulda asked me to come with you."

He sighs and shakes his head again. "That wouldn't be possible. The thing I bought is secret and I don't want anyone knowing about it until the right time."

I roll my eye. "Alright, alright. Whatever. You want me to go get some drinks?" I offer. He sits up and turns his head to look at me.

"No... I'd rather you stay here with me." He's says this with a STRAIGHT DAMN FACE and it DRIVES me CRAZY!!!

A blush instantly floods my face and I look away. "Um... No I'm gonna go get some drinks." I get up and put my hood up. "I'll be back, Todo."

I leave him behind to lay on thre grass in boredom and head to the vendor that's selling drinks. As I'm walking through the vendors, I see a strange thing. There's a familiar person walking through the vendors. It's the man from earlier... The man with the scars. He looks like he's seaching for something. I veer to the oppositre side of the aisle and try to keep myself out of his sight.

I get to the vendor with drinks and order a watermelon boba and a peach and cream boba. Then, I watch the man from afar. He pretends to be looking at the stuff people are selling, but I also see his eyes avert around him and the hurried attitude he has.

I narrow my eye until I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Oh. Thankyou." The man hands me the bobas and I move to the next aisle of vendors so I wouldn't be caught. I don't know he's searching for me specifically, I just have a feeling I should stay away from him.

I file through the different people and make it out to the trees again. I rush over to Todoroki, who is now dozing off. I kneel down and begin whispering and shaking him gently. "Todo. Can we go to the other side of the park, please? There's a really pretty spot I wanna go to, you can take a nap there."

He sighs and sits up. "Yeah. We can go."

"Great, c'mon." I pick up the bags and stay calm. He helps with the plushies and we begin making our way to the stream I noticed when I was coming.

I glance at him, his head dropping a bit and he's practically walking with his eyes closed. I laugh. "Are you that tired?"

He opens an eye. "No... This sun is just making me sleepy. I feels good."

I snort. "Oh my god... That's ironic."

"Hm? Why?" He asks.

"Nothing." I say but he would probably be a cat in his next life. He loves petting and feeding them and I wouldn't be surprised if he took naps in the sun with them. He acts like one himself.

I look behind us to make sure the man isn't following us and see nothing. We continue to walk through the park and we finally make it to a pretty stream that has a calming trickle and a nice grassy spot drenched in sunlight. It's also pretty enclosed my trees. I set down our stuff and Todoroki lays down and puts a plushie under his head.

Look at the stream with my knees to my chest until Todoroki pulls me down beside him. He lets me use his arm as a pillow and I blush omce more. "W-what are you doing, Todo?"

"I want you to take a nap with me." He mumbles sleepily.

"I- I-"

"Shhhh. Just go to sleep." He whispers.
