A New World (Todoroki x OC)

Chapter 1 - Please

Age - 16

Trigger warning

Pain shoots through my spine as the boot clashes with my back. I'm forced to the ground. The pain becomes worse as the boot comes at the different spots of my back over and over again. I hold in every yelp that threatens to escape my lips.

Just a couple more minutes.

I hide my head with my arms and curl up into a ball, taking in all the pain. I feel my skin tear as the tip of the boot grazes my back. My shirt becomes a bit damp.

Stay silent.

Tears form in my eyes as the pain becomes more and more unbearable.

He'll be done soon. Hang in there.

Then I feel a burning sensation on my scalp as the ruthless man yanks my hair.

"Get up you little rat!" He spits out. "It's no fun when you don't give me the pleasure of hearing you scream."

How did this man become my father?

He throws me and my head bangs against the wall, earning me a splitting headache. Blood leaks out of my nose and my vision becomes blurry.

Not yet. Stay strong.

The man's foot shoot towards my stomach and my whole body retracts and fluid comes from my mouth. He comes at my gut repeatedly without mercy. Then he yanks my hair once more.

"C'mon, you worthless piece of shit! Give me a SCREAM!" His breath wreaks of alcohol and I feel like I'm being suffocated.

My mouth hangs open limply. I taste blood in my mouth. Tears run down my cheeks. My scalp burns. My legs shake. My gut is sore. But I stay silent.

"Aaagh. FUCK YOU!!!" He drops me and I lay there, every drop of energy drained from my body. "You're worthless. A failure, just like your mother." He stomps away and out the door.

I lay there in pain. Tears stream from my eyes and to the ground. Blood drips from my lips. My hair is clumped. The last thing I see is my kitten that I picked up from the street pad over to me and nudge my fingers. Then I slip out of consciousness.

I wake up with every muscle in agony. It's still dark out so I must've been out for about an hour. My face is dry and crusty and my scalp still burns. I can barely move an inch.

Then I see the gray furred kitten nestled beside my stomach. It's sleeping peacefully. A small smile tugs at the corners of my mouth. I sit up slowly and with much difficulty. I gently pick up the kitten and hold it close to my chest. I stagger down the hall and towards my room. I gently sit down and my bed.

I softly stroke the kitten and a small smirk spreads across my face. "You better be glad, because I earned a lot of bruises to keep you." The kitten just twitches it's whiskers lazily in response.

I grab my phone and click on Hulu. I lay down and scroll through clicking on My Hero Academia. The intro starts and I hum along to it. It shows Deku's adorable face and I smile a bit. "Wish I could be you." I whisper. Then I see Todoroki's voice and my breath hitches in my throat. "I understand your pain." Tears form in my eyes once more.

"Fuck." I whisper. "I wish I was in anime. You guys are so much better than this world."

Bakugo's face shows up and I groan. "I would love to meet you." I mutter. "You're such a badass."

I sigh as the show goes on. Then my mind wanders off, thinking what would happen if I were in the anime world. Tears burn my eyes. "Shit!" I yelp and set down my phone. I cover my eyes with my sleeve which disrupts the cat. It meows at me and I look at it. "Shut up. You know you want to too.

The kitten lets out a little huff and walks up my chest. Its face is inches from mine. "Tch. What?" The cat tilts its head. I roll my eyes. "I'm just saying, the anime world would be way better than this shit hole."

The cat blinks. "Stop. Don't judge me like that." It then lowers it's head and taps its nose to mine. My eyes widen a bit. "Hey! Stop. I don't need your sympathy!" I sit up and set the kitten beside me. "Go to sleep." I roll over on my side and glare at the wall.

Why can't I be in the anime universe?

I flip over and look at the cat which has now curled up once more. I sigh.

Please.

I unconsciously think and drift off into sleep.

I wake up to light shining in my eyes. My eyes stay shut. My hands is touching soft fur and my back hurts like hell. I gently stroke the fur and crack open an eye. I instantly sit up.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?!"
