A New World (Todoroki x OC)

Chapter 9 - Really Cool

I laugh when Todoroki holds up multiple plushies in his arms. "I don't need that much, Todo. I only need a couple."

He shrugs. "I know. But some of these are mine."

I laugh again and walk up to him and study the plushies. "Which ones are yours?" I ask, picking some up and then returning them to his arms.

"The soba ones." He replies and I glance at him.

"The... You only got soba ones?" I burst into laughter again. The he holds up a plushie that's a cat eating soba.

"This one is adorable. Look at it." He smiles and I look at the other ones too. Then I pick up a plushie with one purple eye and it's a black fox. I pause and study it.

"Who's is this one?" I ask.

"Mine... It looks like you." He replies gently.

I glance at him and put the plushie back. "Hm... Well I'll take these red and white ghosts." I pick up a red ghost that looks angry and a white ghost that looks peaceful and shy. I show them to him. "They look like you." I smile and he chuckles.

We return some of the soba plushies and move on. We end up at a vendor that's selling ice cream and decide to buy some. I ask for {flavor} and Todoroki asks for cookies n' cream. I raise an eyebrow at him and he gives me a questioning look.

"What?"

I look forward again. "You just don't seem like the type to like cookies n' cream."

He smiles. "It's not my favorite, but I like it." He replies and I chuckle.

"Well {flavor} is my favorite. I always choose it unless they don't have it. But I also love chocolate. It's the best thing in the world besides 3 things." I say.

"What're those three things?" He inquires.

I shrug and wink as I say, "You're gonna have to figure that out along the way of our journey."

He chuckles. "But I don't even know the journey we're going on." He muses.

I laugh. "The journey of friendship." I do the jazzhands as I say this. He looks at me with his blank face. I pause. "What? Is there something on my face?"

He looks at the ice cream that's handed to us. "So... We're friends?" He asks as he takes the cold treat.

I roll my eye and reach for mine too. "Uh... Yeah. I thought we figured that out yesterday."

He smiles that cute smile of his. I chuckle when he tries to eat his ice cream, even though he's carrying multiple plushies. I take his ice cream and put it in front of his mouth. He gives ne a glance and I nod. He opens his mouth and takes a bite. I snile and then hold his ice cream as we continue.

"You wanna go look at the different key chains they got over there?" I ask and indicate to a vendor.

He nods. "Yeah, we can." I give him another bite of his ice cream and start leading him through the shuffling people. Then, once we reach the vendor, I give him another bite of his cone and begin looking at the charms. Then I laugh when I see a fireball with an angry face. I show it to Todoroki.

"Look. It's your dad." I snicker.

He chuckles. "I think that's his merch."

I giggle and put it back. Then I pick up one that's a fox with a purple eye... Just like the plushie. I narrow my eye. "Is this from a movie or something? It seems pretty popular."

Todoroki shakes his head. "Not that I know of. Maybe it's a mascot?"

I give a half smile. "Maybe. You want it? You can put it on your bag or something." I say and hold it out to him. Then I see his hands are already full and scoff. I turn to the woman running the vendor. "Do you have sacks?"
