"A.... Trip?" I ask.

Aizawa nods. "Field trip. Vacation, except with hero stuff to do." He says.

I frown. "But... I have stuff to do here." I think of Kai raging about me taking so much time off of training.

Aizawa sighs. "Like what?"

I fold my hands together on my lap. "Nothing." I still haven't told him about Kai because he would get suspicious and start lecturing me about strangers.

"Well I don't see the problem." He replies.

I roll my eye. "Sensei, do whatever you want. But I'm not going."

"Natsumi, you have to come. You're gonna be a big part of this trip."

"How? What am I gonna do there?" I argue.

"You're gonna be one of the things the other students must fight, using your quirk." He replies.

"But I-"

"Did you think I didn't know about your trainer?" He gaze turns confident and sharp.

I stop, my body tensing up. "W- but-"

"I saw him training you when I was out looking for you. He's done a fantastic job. You've learned to control it, and lately, he's almost created a whole different quirk from it. Actually, he has created a whole different quirk from it. It's no longer illusions. It's now... Atom manipulation." He says, his expression holding a spark of pride.

I raise my eyebrows. "... Atom manipulation?"

He stands. "Correct. You're able to create something totally new in the place of something else as long as you understand the elements needed for it. For example, you created a pool of water in place of the ground under your teacher. For that, you replaced the atoms of the ground with Hydrogen and Oxygen, H2O."

I just watch him as he paces on the other side of the table. "You're telling me that I've developed my quirk so now it's transformed to something new?"

He nods. "Yes."

I laugh. "So you believe I can go against everyone else and it'll be a challenge for them?"

He looks at me with a small smirk. "You'll have a week to train, but this time, I'll be helping out that guy to train you."

I deadpan.

"You... Are gonna meet Kai and... Train me... Both of you?" I ask.

"Yes."

My soul practically leaves my body and I fall on the floor. "That's insane. I won't last a day."

He scoffs. "It won't be that bad, stop being dramatic."

I get up and walk towards the door, grabbing my shoes.

"Where are you going?" Sensei asks.

I look back at him. "What? I gotta meet Kai right now. You comin?"

He frowns. "Right now? Weren't you just whining about how hard it'll be?"

I laugh. "C'mon, old man. It'll be so worth it if I get to fight all of my classmates at once and win."

He's surprised by that statement but follows after me. "Fine. I coulda had a day off though."

"You had a day off yesterday. C'mon. You need some exercise anyways." I say, slipping on my shoes.

"Yo, what's up, Natsu? What-... Who's this?" Kai says, pointing to Aizawa. Kai has a cigarette in his hand, though it's not lit. He looks Sensei up and down like he's tryna steal something from him.
