As Stain continued his crusade, he began building up a terrifying reputation across the Galaxy. Stories of Stain's killing of Jedi and Inquisitor alike earned him the moniker of the Dark Jedi. The Empire made eliminating Stain one of their top priorities. As the Empire hunted for Stain, he continued Jedi he considered to be unworthy. He began collecting their Lightsabers as trophies much like General Grievous during the Clone Wars. Stain's crusade soon took him to Wasskah. Stain could feel a faint presence in the planet. Using the Force as a guide, Stain made his way to the ruins of a floating fortress.
Stain: I sense....pain...hatred....
Stain walked inside the ruins of the floating fortress. Once inside, he could saw that this place was once the based of a Trandoshan hunting party. As he searched the base, he found himself cornered by two young men waring Jedi Padawan robes. One was a Twi'lek and the other was a Cerean.
Twi'lek: Stop right there!
Cerean: Who are you and how did you find us?!
Stain: I am not your enemy.
Twi'lek: How do we know that? For all we know, you could be lying!
Stain: If I wanted you dead, you would already be dead. I know who you are....Jinx and O-Mer.
Upon hearing their names being called out, the two were in shock as they kept their weapons trained on Stain.
Jinx: How do you know our names?
Stain: I knew your masters. Jinx, your master was Foul Moudama. O-Mer, your master was Roron Corobb. They both fell to General Grievous during the attack on Coruscant.
Upon hearing this, Jink and O-Mer lowered their weapons.
Stain: Why don't you tell me what happened?
Jinx: After our masters died, we resumed our training at the Jedi Temple while waiting for the Council to assign us new masters to train us.
O-Mer: But as we trained, the Temple was attacked. We thought it was the Separatists until we saw Clones gunning down Jedi. We...we even saw Anakin Skywalker killing Jedi....
As O-Mer mentioned Skywalker's involvement in the sacking of the Jedi Temple, anger swelled up within Stain. To hear that the Chosen One was leading the attack on the Jedi Temple brought on a feeling of great betrayal.
Stain: Skywalker led an attack on hallowed ground and shed blood inside. Not since Darth Malgus's sacking of the Temple in the days of the Old Republic was such an act committed.
Jinx: We were barely able to escape with our lives. We tried to help any Jedi we could, but so many had already died. We came back here because this was ironically the safest place for us to hide.
O-Mer: I still don't understand how all this happened. Why did Skywalker and the Clones turn on us?
Stain: It was the Chancellor. Palpatine was the Sith Lord the Jedi have been looking for. This atrocity as well as the Clone Wars.
Hearing that the Chancellor was responsible for the destruction of the Jedi deeply disturbed Jinx and O-Mer. This was especially disturbing considering that their masters died protecting Palpatine.
Jinx: That...that can't be! Our masters died for him! How can he be the Sith Lord?!
Stain: It is the truth. He ended the Republic and created a terrible Empire in it's place.
O-Mer: That....that traitor!
Stain: The Sith were only able to succeed because the Jedi were blind to the Sith's grand plan. For too long, we thought they were extinct. Our blindness and ignorance led to our downfall. But that's not all. Our great and glorious order fell because of disease that had been rotting within the order. Jedi is a title reserved for those who truly serve the Will of the Force! Too many are undeserving. Until this society wakes up and rectifies itself...I will continue to do my work
It was clear to Jinx and O-Mer that Stain was different. They could tell that Order 66 had deeply affected Stain. They were quick to notice the Lightsabers hanging from his belt.
Jinx: What's with those Lightsabers?
Stain: These belonged to the weak and unworthy. These Lightsabers were wasted by the unworthy. When the time comes, these Lightsabers shall go to those truly worthy of being a Jedi.
O-Mer: And what about us?
Stain: I sense...potential in you both. You are not tainted. I know of what happened to you. I know of the trials you endured in this place. Such feats can only be performed by a true Jedi!
As Stain said this, Jinx and O-Mer expressed interest in Stain's crusade. Ever since they had escaped the Jedi Temple, they were reduced to the same thing they were when they were kidnapped and made to be hunted by the Trandoshans.
Jinx: You speak...wise words.
O-Mer: We wish to join you in your mission.
Stain: To truly accomplish anything...one needs will and conviction. Those without it...the weak ones...they'll be weeded out. It's only natural. Forget about yourself for a second and try saving others. Don't wield your power for your own sake. Because getting trapped by your own hate and acting out of pure self-interest...makes you no better than the unworthy Jedi or the Sith. That is all that I ask of you.
In that moment, Jinx and O-Mer swore themselves to Stain's crusade. They would be trained by Stain to hunt down and purge the unworthy Jedi and the Sith from the Galaxy. In that moment, Stain had found two acolytes to join him on his righteous crusade.
