Chapter X - Indoctrination

After being taken in by Stain, Jinx and O-Mer became loyal followers to Stain's cause. They quickly accepted Stain's ideology as it was the actions of a fallen Jedi through the manipulation of the Sith that brought about the near total destruction of the Jedi Order. In the weeks that followed, Jinx and O-Mer were put through grueling training designed to test their will and conviction as well as their dedication to the cause. After completing the training, Jinx and O-Mer knelt before Stain. 

Stain: When I found you, you lacked a purpose. Your only goal was merely survival. But now your training is complete. Now you have been given a righteous purpose. Now you are in service to the Force itself. Rise, true Jedi!

Jinx and O-Mer stood before Stain, ready to join Stain on his crusade. 

Jinx: Thank you, Stain. 

O-Mer: What is your bidding, master?

Stain: There are no masters. We are equals in the eyes of the Force. We have been tasked by the Force to purge the Galaxy of the taint of the Dark Side. It is not just the Sith we must exterminated. It is the Jedi who have abandoned the Jedi Code. It was they who allowed the Sith to grow strong and it was them who allowed the Jedi Order to fall into ruin. Now it falls on us to make it right. The Force has called upon us to purged them from the Galaxy. If we do not take it upon ourselves to cleanse the Galaxy of this taint, no one will. 

As Stain spoke, Jinx and O-Mer found themselves captivated by Stain's words. Their experiences before, during and after Order 66 had changed them greatly. They endured being hunted by Trandoshan Slavers. They endured the sacking of the Jedi Temple. They endured hiding from the Empire. Those experiences altered their worldview. In their eyes, Stain's ideology made sense. 

Stain: To fight the darkness, we must embrace it. We must weaponize it. We must use it against our enemies. Our fight will be a struggle. Our will and devotion to the Force will be tested. Our will and conviction allowed us to overcome the challenges that came our way. Now we must use our strength to destroy the agents of the Dark Side. 

It soon became clear that what Stain was doing was going against the Jedi Code. Stain sought to use the Dark Side to fight it. His path was that of aggression and vengeance. Despite knowing full well that that they were doing stood against everything the Jedi Code stood for, Jinx and O-Mer felt that it was necessary. They both felt that going down this path was the only way to avenge the Jedi Order. 

Stain: What we are doing is in service to the Force. A great injustice was inflicted upon the Jedi Order. A great injustice that has sent ripples throughout the very fabric of the Force. We must not allow this injustice to go unanswered. It is our duty to see this injustice punished. All who participated in this injustice whether they served the Sith or did nothing must be punished. They must be purged so that the Force may heal. But in order for the Jedi Order to rise once more, we must purify it from the weakness that the Sith exploited. We must make the Jedi Order stronger by eliminating the weakness that festered in our order. Step forward. 

Jinx and O-Mer did as Stain ordered. They knelt before Stain as he ignited his two Lightsabers. 

Stain: Recite the Jedi Oath. 

Jinx/O-Mer: I do swear on my honor, and on the faith of the brotherhood of knights, to use the Force only for good, denying, turning always from the Dark Side; to dedicate my life to the cause of freedom, and justice. If I should fail of this vow, my life shall be forfeit, here and hereafter.

Stain: You have cleansed yourself of weakness. You have cleansed yourself of ignorance. By the right of the Jedi, by the will of the Force, I decree you both, Knights of the Jedi Order. Rise now, Knights of the Jedi Order. Knights of the Force.

In that moment, Jinx and O-Mer had been knighted as Jedi Knights or at least been knighted in Stain's eyes. Though the path they had begun was far from ideal in the eyes of the Jedi Code, it was the only path that was available to them. 

Jinx: We won't fail you. 

O-Mer: The Force shall be cleansed. 

Stain: Now is the time where we must truly begin our crusade. The Force has chosen us to undertake this righteous task. Now we must see it through to the end. We must purge the Galaxy of both Sith and False Jedi. It falls upon us to cleanse the Galaxy of the taint of the Dark Side. We will begin on Lothal. We will find the false Jedi that hides on this planet and purge them from the Galaxy. 

With that, Stain took Jinx and O-Mer on a shuttle and begin the journey to the Outer Rim world of Lothal. Once there, they would being the hunt for the False Jedi what hid on the planet. What they didn't know was that they would soon be thrust into a conflict which would bring the Dark Jedi into direct conflict with the Empire as well as the Sith who ruled it.
