Emmett sighs as he gets out of Gemma's truck. Gemma grins at his sigh, knowing he really likes being driven around in Gem's beautiful truck. Emmett drapes an arm over Gemma's shoulders; he had asked her to become his official girlfriend on Saturday when he went by the store, and she said yes as soon as Emmett asked, and Emmett also met Karen. He met her mother.
"Quit laughing at my discomfort," Emmett mutters as they walk toward the school, ignoring Chamberlin's cat calls.
"You know you love riding in my beautiful truck," Gemma muses. "Besides, didn't you say Rosalie found a motor for your Jeep?"
"It'll be here tonight," Emmett replies. "Maybe you can come by sometime this week or weekend to put it in."
Gemma hums in agreement as Emmett keeps his arm around her. Jessica freezes at her locker as she watches the new couple with wide, happy eyes. Bella, on the other hand, looks shocked and jealous. Bella wants to be with Edward, kind of, but he's been gone all week and acts as if he thinks she's the most disgusting girl there is. That is, how she sees it in her head.
Emmett stops at Mr. Molina's classroom, which is Gemma's first period. "Have a good day. I'll see you after school?"
"I'll see you in the lunchroom, while I sit with my friends," Gemma says. "Jess will want to talk to mr about my new relationship because I didn't text her instantly."
Emmett nods and he kisses the top of her head. The two haven't kissed yet. Neither one of them are ready yet, but they will be soon. Emmett backs away as Alice suddenly pops up.
"Alice," Emmett nods in greeting.
"Emmett!" Alice chirps. "Hey, Gemma!"
"Hey, Alice," Gemma greets and Jasper shows up.
Gemma and Jasper eye each other, Jasper raises an eyebrow at her. Her scent isn't as bad since no one here has that 'kill her' craving. Gemma walks by him without a word, knowing that was their nonverbal greeting.
"Don't mess it up," Jasper says to Emmett before he walks into the classroom.
"Is it me or does Jasper like my girl?" Emmett asks Alice.
"Jasper feels a connection with her," Alice claims. "Nothing romantic. But I did kind of see their bond."
Emmett smiles. "I'll see you later, Alice."
Alice nods and she enters the classroom right as Jessica eyes Emmett. Emmett smirks at her and Jessica literally swoons. The vampire chuckles at Jessica's flustered cheeks and he walks away. Jess gapes at his retreating figure before she enters the classroom.
