Gemma is bouncing on her feet in the clearing. For the past hour, she's been begging Emmett to let her play. The family is all for it. They'd even let her run and not get her out because of their speed.

"Gemma, no," Emmett declines.

"Oh, come on, man, let her play!" Chamberlin boasts from beside Rosalie. "I'll be the one that throws to her! And she won't get an out."

"No," Emmett declines. "You're not playing."

"Then why am I here?" Gemma asks. "Sit around like a child while the cool teens play? That's not how I work, Mr. Cullen. I thought you knew me by now."

Chamberlin speeds over and he drops an arm over Gemma's shoulder. "You can stand on the outfield then. Just don't... catch anything because it'll hurt. Got it?"

Gemma nods and she looks at Emmett. "Is that alright with you?"

"I'm not your boss, Gem," Emmett replies.

Gemma raises an eyebrow; he's been acting as if he was her boss for the past hour. The blonde sighs in disbelief and she follows Chamberlin to the outfield. She winks at Rosalie, who she finally made nice with, and Rosalie laughs a little. The human for what she wanted.

"You try and keep an athlete from playing a sport, she's bound to get an attitude, Emmett," Emse jokes and that's when Bella and Edward emerge from the trees. "Good thing you're here," Esme claims as she vamp speeds over. "We need an umpire."

Emmett's pouty mood vanishes instantly and a big, crooked grin forms on his face. "She thinks we cheat."

"I know you cheat," Esme replies. "Call 'em as you see 'em, Bella."

Gemma jumps up and down in her feet, smiling. She is on second base with Chamberlin. He changed it up by the time they got into position. Chamber looks at the energetic girl and he looks at Emmett, who has just as much energy and he can't help but smirk a little as Alice takes her spot on the pitcher's mound.

"It's time," Alice claims, and a rumble of thunder shakes the woods around them.

Gemma suddenly feels at ease at the sound of the thunder. Jasper glances at her as Rosalie goes to the batting mound. The empath smiles at the feeling of serenity and happiness radiating off of Gemma as Alice throws the ball and Rosalie smashes the ball with the aluminum bat. It cracks loudly like thunder, and soon, it's followed by real thunder. This is all making Gemma more and more excited about being here.

"Whoa!" Gemma gasps.

Chamberlin chuckles at her reaction as the ball goes flying into the woods. Edward, being the fastest, takes off after it. Emmett looks at his girl, who has a massive grin on her face. Neither one have said they loved each other yet. But they know that they do... actions speak louder than words.
