Love Songs and missing someone

Allumos was over the moon with happiness. He had had feelings for Marsh for a while,as some people knew,and had confessed...it had gone better than he could ever hope for! He had started to have feelings for Kit (who also had feelings for Marsh) and apparently Marsh didn't want to choose between him and her. So,they all ended up together! It was great! When he got back to Grimshade that day he gladly let Pat take control so he could just relax and be happy.

Later

"...Allumos how many love songs are there?"

"What do you mean my dear boy? I've only sung 2!"

"Nah I'm just asking so I know how long you'll be at it,'cause you seem very happy..and I'm happy for you."

"Oh. Well I dunno,and I'm too happy to care! Also thanks! I'd spend 10,000 hours~! And 10,000 mor-" Pat chuckled and shut Allumos out. He almost felt...jealous? No. He couldn't think like that. He was happy for Allumos,but he couldn't help but admit that he missed his own love,his wife. He wondered almost everyday,"Are they okay? Are they alive? Do they miss me?-" And more. Sometimes he got himself worked up and almost started crying,to which Allumos sometimes comforted him,at least a little bit. Allumos,apparently noticed Pat's change of mood and his singing faded. "...Pat."

"Hm? Yeah..?"

"I'm apologize for working you up about your wife I truly didn't mean to-"

"Nonono it's alright! I'm happy for you,really! I just-" He sighed. "I just worry about my wife and kids."

"I understand." There was a slightly awkward silence. "Do you..wish to talk about it? As in venting to me or something of that sort,I'll gladly listen." Pat continued to be quiet for another couple seconds. "Sure,why not."

"Alright then! Lemme activate Gemini then you can talk the night away my dear boy!" And so they did. Pat talked and Allumos listened,vaguely comforting him when he needed it.
