Viper is slowly becoming my favorite character

Viper was sitting in his room,on the floor in front of a mirror he had hidden in his room so people wouldn't see it.For hours on end he would just stare into it,letting himself get lost in his thoughts and let the rest of the world almost disappear.He would think about a multitude of things,like his powers,his family- Ah.His family.This was something he thought about the most,sometimes working himself up.And the little girl he was sent to find,her being with her parents just...he didn't even know. Jealousy? Maybe.Soon ge was brought out of his thoughts by his name being shouted by Allumos from downstairs.

"Viper!! Someone's here to see you!!" ...wonderful.It's probably Kay. Viper thought to himself as he got up,put away the mirror,and went downstairs to someone running up to him and hugging him.

"Mr.Viper!! I said I would come and visit,and my parents let me since we were in town!!" Viper was slightly taken aback.It was that little girl... "U-Uhm- Hi,Maria,right?"

"Mhm!! Also my parents wanted to say thank you,you had rushed away before they could get a chance." Viper sighed."Well...tell them that it wasn't any problem when you go back home." Viper said,getting down to her level,even though he couldn't see her right then.Allumos,Marshie,Colin and Jericho just watched silently in the background,Seek had gone a quest."Okay!! And your friends are really nice,Mr.Allumos gave me some cookies!!"

"Well that's very nice of him."

"And this place is so cool!!" Maria said happily,skipping around as Viper got up,having the smallest of smirks on his face."It is pretty neat,isn't it? And what time did your parents say to be back to them?"

"They said to meet at the fountain closest to the cathedral thingy in front of this place in about 10 minutes.And did ya tell Jasper I said hi?"

"Yep,but I'm not using him right now since he uses up my magic."

"Oh..so you can't see me?" Viper shook his head no."Oh.Well,that's okay,cause you can still hear me! Now I wanna explore,come on!!" Maria grabbed Viper's hand and went up the stairs.Viper was protesting a bit,and although Viper couldn't see it,the other four people either had grins on their faces or confused looks."Looks like Viper found a friend." Allumos said."Apparently...isn't that the girl you brought up that one day,when you said saving little girls wouldn't get us anywhere?" Jericho asked.Allumos nodded. "Yes,actually.But I didn't think they had created a bond...nor did I think Viper could be that nice to someone,of all people a little girl."

Meanwhile,with Viper and Maria...

"So this is your room? It's so cool,just like you!!" Maria said happily,skipping around his room."Just don't touch anything." Viper had grabbed his walking stick,which he hated using,but he knew he wasn't going to be using Jasper for a while."Ooh,what are these books with the bumps on them?"

"Those are braille books.It's how I get to read since I can't see,"

"That's nice"

About 10 minutes later...

"I think it's about time for you to go,Maria."

"Aww..but yeah,I think your right.Can I come visit another time?" Viper started walking her downstairs."Uhm...sure,I guess." He heard a small cheer from Maria and smiled,surprising himself.They got downstairs to which he could sense everyone else still down there."Hello Viper,hello Maria! And I didn't know you had a walking stick,Viper.Seems very odd for you." Viper sighed."Yeah yeah I know,but I used Jasper while also using more of my magic,and I'm tired,so this is just gonna be my way around for a while..anyway let's go Maria,I'll walk you to where you need to be."

"Okay Mr.Viper!" Maria took his hand and started leading him away.Viper was tempted to pull away,but something was stopping him...

...when they got the the fountain,her parents weren't there,since they were a little early."Okay here we are...I have things to do back at the guildhall,so are you okay waiting here by yourself?"

"Mhm! My parents are never too late,so they should be here in a couple minutes!"

"Alright.." There was a slightly awkward silence."Maria...Maria I want you to do something for me."

"Okay!"

"...tell your parents you love them,alright?"

"Hm? Oh,okay! Anything else?" Viper smirked a bit and got down to Maria's level."And...and make sure to protect them.Protect them with your life."

"Oh,uh..okay." Viper was about to get up and walk away when Maria hugged him."I'm sorry that your parents died,Mr.Viper.I'll make sure to do all that for you! Hey look I see my parents! Bye Mr.Viper!" Viper heard Maria run off and Viper sighed,getting up and walking off...he was confused.Where did all that come from? Whatever.He went back into the guildhall and went straight to his room.He had a lot to think about.
