A/N- Requested by Nightmare2451 Bit of an angst/suicide warning (the mention of suicide and in the flashback it actually happens) I don't do major angst like this often (at least I don't think lmao),so I thought "Why not?"

Viper was completely wasted in Salode...at least for the first day/night. So drunk in fact,that he said some..things.

"I miss Kay.." Ritchie was taken aback by this,so was Devin.Allumos on the other hand just smirked. "The takeover mage at the Protectors?" Ritchie questioned. Viper nodded and took another swing of his drink. "She's so..nicee.And cutee.." Viper's words slurred a bit but the other 3 got the message. "I didn't- I didn't know you had a thing for Kay." Devin said. "I didn't think he would date anyone for that matte-"

"She's not my girlfriend!!..at least not yet anyway." Allumos clapped once. "HAH! I knew it! Colin owes me some gold coins!" Ritchie and Devin stared at him. "What? I saw chemistry between the 2 and I was betting on it."

"She lifted me up when I was down..she lifted me up when nobody else would." Viper continued,his words still slurring. "That sounds like Kay." Devin commented. Viper was quiet for a moment,just drinking more. "...she stopped me from doing somethin' dumb dumb." He said. "What dumb thing did you do-" Allumos asked. "I tried to make myself go bye-bye." The other 3 people glanced at each other before looking back at Viper. "You tried to do what?.."

Flashback

Viper was cleaning at the Protectors. Today was gonna be the day. He had hurt too many people,it was for the best. Before he left at the end of the day he dropped off a letter at Kay's house,telling her how much he appreciated her niceness,even though he didn't deserve it. Telling her how much he enjoyed he company. Telling her,that he loved her. It wouldn't matter in the end anyway.

Viper sat on the edge of one of the bridges in Atlantide,just thinking. All the people he had hurt,all the people he had killed...his village. He had nobody left. Sure Kay cared for him,and Allumos was like a dad but that was different. Everyone else hated him,and wanted him either in jail or just straight up dead. So why not give them what they want? It's not like they'll care. Viper stood up and took a deep breath. Now it never.ge took a step forward and let himself fall.Down,down,down towards the water. He closed his eyes,letting his fate come to him...

...when he felt something under him. Something...feathery? He opened his eyes and saw that a bird had caught him? "W-Wha?.." The bird landed and turned into Kay after Viper sorta..fell off."Viper! Never do that again!" She sobbed,hugging him. Viper was still in shock for the moment. "Viper I love you! Never forget that!" Kay continued to sob,shaking Viper a bit,who came out of his little shock bubble and starting crying himself,hugging Kay right back. "Please Viper..don't do it again.."

"I- I won't."

"Pr- Promise me."

"I promise.."

End of flashback

The other 3 were silent as Viper continued to drink,feeling a mix of sad and happy since he was of course drunk. "Viper I- There isn't even a point of talking to you about this now,you'll just forget it all in the morning.." Allumos trailed off. "I feel so bad oh my god." Devin groaned,Ritchie putting a hand on his shoulder. "Don't. It's kinda a bad situation but just don't," Ritchie said. "Yeah,don't! Your one of da nice ones! But Ritchie,the cat and Bryan and just a bunch of bitches!"

"Hey I was your bestfriend like 3 seconds ago- Oh nevermind."

All in all,Devin,Ritchie and Allumos found out some interesting things that night...and hey,maybe they'll be able to give Viper the help he was afraid to ask for.
