Since our favorite twins aren't technically from this world,naturally English isn't their first language. They didn't actually know what the language was called so they just assumed it was called Salodeian. And on many occasions they've slipped into their native tongue...

"What are we gonna do about this Devil's Tongue?" Allumos questioned. "Maybe we could send Brandon in pretending to be Jupiter-"

"You must be out of your goddamn mind if you think I'm sending Brandon back to Devil's Tongue to ANYTHING!!" Ritchie suddenly shouted,making Brandon hold him back seeing the Ritchie might just attack him. "...I'm sorry what?" Viper asked,both confused and amused at the same time. "You heard me you son of a bitch-" Flurry suddenly appeared,having arrived late,to Ritchie yelling at Viper in an unknown language,Brandon trying to calm him down in said language,and Allumos,Lo'pho and Bryan just helplessly watching. "...what did I miss?"

"Just sit back and watch,they're gonna keep going until Brandon can get his brother in check in whatever language they're speaking." Allumos sighed. Flurry looked confused but nodded and went on her platform. "-Your lucky Brandon's back or I'd-"

"Viper take a walk! Ritchie take a walk!-" Ritchie sighed. "Fine."

"Ah,there we go,english.Are you done? Like can we continue?" Allumos asked sassily."Yeah yeah whatever continue."

"Thank you! Anyway-"

So yeah. That happened. Nobody really questioned them about it,but made a mental note for later. Nobody could really figure out the language either,compared to other languages it was...strange to say the least. That situation definitely wasn't the last either...

Ritchie and Brandon were sitting in the guildhall with a couple other people,talking (or more so,gossiping in a way) about their guild members and other guild leaders.

"I'm telling you,Allumos and Viper are full of it. As long as they can hold a weapon,or a pen for that matter,they're a threat."

"Well obviously,you cussed him out.And that's a valid point."

"And I swear if you weren't there I would've beat his ass!"

"I hear you,I hear you. On a different note I'm tired of paying for all of Omni's explosions,"

"Aren't we all?" The 2 continued talking,but had gained a couple stares from their members,which they didn't even notice. From time to time they would just randomly laugh too,it was the most confusing thing for the others. Eventually David got tired of it. "What in the hell are you 2 saying?!" Ritchie and Brandon glanced at him before glancing back at each other and laughing. "That's not an answer!"

"It's the language we speak back in Salode." Brandon responded. "Oh.Well that technically still doesn't answer the question,what were you 2 saying?!"

"I heard Allumos,Viper and Omni,so obviously they were gossiping." Kit commented,not looking up from her nails,which she was inspecting. Brandon rolled his eyes and Ritchie looked almost offended. "We were not!"

"I'm a girl,Ritchie. Your tone was telling me you 2 were gossiping."

"There's a difference between gossiping and talking-"

"-And you 2 were gossiping!" Blake jumped in. "For the love of the gods- You know what,sit down David you fat motherfu-"

"Now now brother that's rude,"

"What?! What'd he say?!"

Long story short Ritchie and Brandon were a lot more used to the language spoken in Salode rather then english,but it didn't stop there. There were some holidays that they weren't familiar with,or understood very much...

"What the hell are you doing?" Brandon asked. He,Lucas,and Kit were at the market. "Getting flowers and stuff..?" Lucad said. "Why?"

"For Blake,and Kit's getting either Allumos or Marshie flowers." Kit blushed and punched Lucas playfully,although he still shouted out in pain. "Okay but w h y?"

"Don't you know what today is?" Brandon shook his head and Kit gasped. "It's Valentine's Day you idiot!" Brandon looked confused. "What's- What's that?" Lucas and Kit glanced at each other before looking at Brandon. "You seriously don't know what Valentine's Day is?" Brandon shook his head no again. "Maybe it's because he's sad and lonely-" Kit snorted,earning a light push from Lucas. "Whaaatt? I'm just sayin', because obviously he doesn't like the girl Viper killed." Brandon squinted at her,to which she put her hands up in surrender. "Aaaanyway,back on topic,Valentine's Day is about love and all that corny stuff,when putting it in simple terms." Lucas explained. "Ohhh..well then Kit's half right,I'm sad and lonely. But we didn't have Valentine's Day back in Salode,so yeah."

"Oh,that makes sense.Now! Back to looking for gifts!"

The rest of that day was kinda odd for Brandon,considering he was new to the holiday and he's never been in a real relationship,unless you count Francesca...but he barely counted that as a relationship,he was forced into that. There were traditions the twins were new to as well...

"So your telling me..me and ice queen over here have to fucking kiss just because we're under a plant?-" Brandon asked. The guild was laughing as they tried to explain this to Ritchie and Brandon. "Yes,it's-" Blake took a moment to pull herself together. "It's called a mistletoe,when 2 people are under it they have to kiss or bad things will happen."

"Go ahead! Kiss! I wanna see this!" Mario called from behind the bar. "Shut up pebbles! Nobody asked you! And do I have to kiss him? I don't even feel romantic attraction!"

"Do you want bad things to happen?"

"Do you actually believe that crap?!" The twins looked at eachother and said in sync, "I don't get it." This only made the guild (except David) laugh more.

In the end the 2 did end up kissing,but Inmo definently got what was comin' for him.

All in all,Salode was very different from Atlantide. And the fact that the twins don't get some of the most common things was hilarious to most.
