FOR HER own safety, as daryl had called it, rosaline had tagged along to watch for the saviors' arrival with him. when a horn blared through the distance, the marksman slammed down on their air horn alerting the hilltop.
the sun was soon going to be below the horizon, and when it was, that's when they came. by that time, rosa had already vested up rheagar and got out her bow as well as gun.
she and daryl were going to be ambushing them.
with rhaegar running beside the bike, rosaline and daryl fired their guns hoping to take down as many saviors as they could. the enemies instantly tried to flee inside hilltop.
daryl swerved around them, speeding in whilst a yellow bus pulled out causing the first car to crash into it with a loud bang. maggie ordered the start of the battle.
rosa aimed at anyone from the other side who were moving. saviors popped out from the back of a truck, sending a rain of arrows up on the balcony where the prisoners were standing.
the young woman gasped, pulling rhaegar back by his vest as he urged her to run out. if he did, he'd get shot or caught in the crossfire. that was not her goal tonight.
rapidly, she fired her bullets which ricocheted off the car until she needed to reload. by then, some of the saviors had scattered and were trying to sneak up on them.
daryl ensured rosaline was close behind him, "now!" he screamed.
suddenly, a man lunged for him but rhaegar was faster. he pounced on the man, bringing him down on the ground, and gave his throat a good hard, violent tear.
at the same time, michonne stalked over to them, "it's time. give maggie the signal. we gotta go."
the marksman hesitated, his eyes scanning across the hilltops as more guns fired. he seemed to zone out at the sight.
"daryl!" the two women snapped, bringing him back into reality. he trailed after them through the cover of darkness.
then, everything became silent.
until all the lights turned on and the machine guns fired.
the rumble of guns echoed, rick finally arriving at the scene, firing off as many bullets into the saviors as possible. through the chaos, rhaegar had the opportunity to join them in the slaughter.
