JOLTING AWAKE, rosaline looked around eyes widening. she came face to face with daryl who was prodding her awake. he seemed to flinch at her sudden movement, it was unknown to him that she very much disliked awakenings like that.

sitting up, she rubbed the sleep away from her eye, "sorry i thought you were someone else," she apologized.

daryl nodded seeming to understand her somewhat, "we need to head out and move to the farm. just need you up and ready."

"alright." she said standing up and stretching. it seemed that was the first night she had gotten a good amount of sleep since the cdc. perhaps the company of several people helped the situation somewhat.

swiftly, rosaline took out a few bowls she had spare from the back of the rv and poured some water into them. of course, dale had allowed her to keep some dog food cans in there, so she had easy storage.

quietly, she opened it and emptied half of its contents in the next bowl setting it outside for the dog to lap up.

dale made his way over to her, a few clothes he managed to find in the cars in hand, "he seems to have an appetite."

rosaline nodded, grinning, "at least one of us does."

"you should be eating too, don't forget that taking care of yourself - not just him, is important too." the older man reminded, setting the things inside the boot of carol's car.

she sighed, "i know, i'll make sure to take care of myself. don't worry dale."

"if not i'll have daryl remind you." he said.

     "why daryl?"

"you two seem awfully close, well, at least compared to everyone else in camp." dale stated, giving her a teasing look whilst also nodding towards daryl who was working on his bike at a distance.

rosaline knew exactly what he was implying, and she couldn't help but laugh at the thought, "come on dale, let's be realistic."

     "you never know!"

"never know what?" andrea asked popping her head out of from inside the rv, raising her eyebrows. rosaline prayed that she hadn't caught a part of that conversation as she could already feel her cheeks heating up, and it wasn't because of the heat.

dale opened his mouth but was quickly interrupted by rosaline, "you'll never know what you can find in the boot of these cars. dale found some cute shirts."

"i'll make sure to check them out," andrea noted, stepping back inside, "are we going now?"

"yeah. carol?" dale called out. the woman nodded to them climbing inside her car, starting it up.
