ROSALINE MANAGED to get a few minutes of sleep with judith in the cot. rhaegar of course was sprawled out on the floor guarding the small box. the girl's eyes opened and she read the label that daryl marked on it: 'lil ass-kicker'.

she narrowed her eyes slightly, turning up to look at the roof of the bunk. judith started to fuss quietly, becoming restless. it was a sign that the baby was hungry. letting out an inward sigh, the girl got up.

rhaegar rolled over onto one side, letting her pass. carefully, she picked up judith, who flung her arms to the side excitedly, "come on up, baby." she coooed, "time for dinner."

the girl walked past daryl's cell, going down the stairs slowly making sure to watch her step. his eyes landed on her. she made her way into the cafeteria where michonne was working on her fitness.

"everything okay? i thought you'd sleep a bit more." carol questioned, turning to her.

rosaline took a glance at merle who was talking to the woman on the floor, she was clearly disinterested in whatever the elder dixon had to say. she nodded, taking her attention back to carol, "yeah, she started rolling around. probably needs feeding."

"i'll make the formula, just sit down with her." carol squeezed her shoulder.

the brown-haired girl took a seat on another table, merle meeting her eyes, "say, missy, you're good with kids and dogs alike. you got my brother all soft."

she scoffed, bouncing the newborn up and down, "had siblings." rosa replied ignoring his comment about daryl, she'd never been on bad terms with merle before. his remarks sometimes did bother her but other than that she considered him a friend back at atlanta.

"oh yeah, that's right." he drawled leaning back in his seat. michonne gazed at rosaline for a moment, interested in the girl's past, "ya had a little brother, just like me. something to relate with ya ol' pal merle."

the girl looked down at the baby in her arms, blinking slowly. if there was any way to push her buttons it was to talk about her late family.

although she wasn't going to let him under her skin, she was actually used to the way he taunted people, "yeah."

he chuckled seeing rheagar slink into the room, "damn. let me see that dog. always liked seeing him around."

warily, rhaegar crept up to merle, wanting to sniff his hand since he recognized his face somewhat. however, all his right hand offered was a stump, "other hand, merle. unless you want him to bite your ass."

"alright missy, just make sure that language doesn't rub off on little junior there." he grinned, offering his live hand to the german shepherd.
