Three Years Later
La Push, WashingtonAella Cameron put her hands on her hips, looking at her two- year-olds with narrowed eyes.
"Now, Alexander, Andromeda, where did all the cookies go?"
The twins giggled, sharing a look. Aella knew where the cookies were, she could see the crumbs and the chocolate on their lips, along with their chubby cheeks looking more filled than usual.
Less than a year after marrying Jared, Aella found out that she was pregnant, and with twins nonetheless. Jared had passed out when she told him the news, and had insisted she get the best care for her pregnancy.
In fact, when she gave birth on July 1st, it was in the Underworld castle's hospital wing, with Sue and Emily by her side, along with the Underworld doctors and nurses. Jared had passed out again when hours after arriving to the underworld, Aella gave birth to Alexander Paul Cameron and Andromeda Emily Cameron.
Paul and Emily had been stunned when they went to visit the newest additions to the Cameron family and discovered that they were their namesakes. Emily, pregnant with her and Sam's third child, had even burst out into tears, holding Andromeda close. Paul almost cried, but managed to hold it down, laughing with baby Alexander cuddling into his chest.
For a while, it was just the four of them, Alex, Andy, Aella, and Jared, a perfectly happy family. Even Jared's mother adored the twins, going to stay with the Cameron family for a while to help Aella get into the groove of motherhood.
Once Jared's mother left, Aella and Jared took the twins for a trip up to Olympus to meet their aunts, uncles, and their great grandmother. Demeter had begged the couple to move up there, citing that the mortal realm was no place to raise two Demi-God's, especially since Aella's original bloodline, the bloodline of a full goddess, ran in their veins.
However, they just laughed Demeter's concerns off and went off back to La Push, where Jared went back to work with Sam, and Aella slowly got back into the swing of working, helping to take care of any godly problems in the mortal realm.
Now, two years later, Aella was pregnant again, heavily pregnant for that matter. She and Jared decided to keep the gender a secret, wanting to be surprised when the baby came. They, well Aella, had also decided that this time she would give birth in La Push, with her doctor coming to La Push instead.
"We dwon't know." Alexander spoke through the mouthful, crumbs falling from his lips.
"Oh, you don't, huh?" Aella bent down, bringing them both into her arms and tickling them. They giggled, swallowing the cookies and squealing with laughter with their mother. The three, technically four, fell to the ground, a laughing mess, until they heard the front door open downstairs.
"What's going on here?" Jared asked, noticing them lying by the kitchen door.
Andromeda and Alexander shot up, rushing to their father happily. "Daddy!"
Jared laughed, hugging and kissing them both, holding Alexander's hand, and placing Andromeda on his hip. Aella smiled up at him, Jared chuckling before offering her his arm and helping her to stand.
Aella brushed off her leggings, bringing Alexander up on her hip, much to Jared's dismay. "The twins ate all the cookies."
"Oh, did they?" He rose an eyebrow. "Careful, Alex, don't kick the baby."
"We dwidn't, Daddy, we swear!" Andromeda claimed, Alexander nodding in agreement.
"Then, what's this on your cheek?" Jared wiped at Andromeda's cheek, holding it up to show the chocolate on it. He popped it into his mouth, humming. "Yup, chocolate all right."
"Andy, Alex, what do we say?"
"Sowwy for lying." They spoke simultaneously, beaming at their parents. Aella and Jared shared a look, both peppering the kids in kisses.
"It's okay, baby, just be honest next time." Jared and Aella both put Andy and Alex down, the twins linking hands before running upstairs, back to their room.
Jared wrapped his arms around Aella, his hand rubbing over her belly, his grin widening when the baby kicked. "How was your day, babe?"
"Exhausting. Your child won't stop kicking my bladder and your other two kids won't slow down for a minute. I'm starting to wish we had a nanny." Jared laughed, kissing Aella's temple.
"So, when they misbehave, they're my kids?"
"Exactly. See, you get it!"
He hummed. "Well, when they get their powers and start acting out, they're your kids."
"The powers are coming soon, I can feel it." Aella got out of his arms, heading into the kitchen. Jared followed her, his arms crossed.
"Then we have a big storm coming our way. From what your mom told me, your powers were the worst to control. Imagine them, being twins." He continued to ramble on, not noticing how Aella paused midstep, flinching. Her breathing quickened, her hands tightly gripping the counter chair closest to her.
"Uh, Jared." She mustered out, trying to control her breathing.
"What powers do you think they're going to have? They're gonna be based on darkness and death, like yours, probably. But maybe they'll be different. What powers does your dad have again?"
"Jared."
"How are we going to do it? Manage two kids with powers at the same time? And both really mischievous twins too."
"Jared!" He finally stopped talking, looking up at his wife.
"Hey, what's wrong?" She dropped her gaze to her legs, Jared's eyes following hers and widening, noticing the pool of liquid gathering around her legs.
"Don't tell me that--"
"Jared..."
"But you still have three weeks left!"
"I don't think the baby cares about the exact time they have left, Jar!"
"Okay, okay, I'll get the twins and the baby bag, you get changed and meet me in the car, okay?"
"Okay." With that, they both raced off, Jared calling for the twins while rushing into the master bedroom and grabbing the small suitcase that he and Aella had packed for the day the baby came.
Meanwhile, Aella went into the laundry room and grabbed a random clean dress, quickly throwing it on while dialing her doctor's number on her phone.
Within minutes, they were all in the car, Jared frantically driving to Emily's, Aella holding onto the seat to keep herself steady. They were soon to become a family of five.
