Three Years Later
La Push, WashingtonAella Cameron cradled the baby girl in her arms, cooing down at her. The baby yawned, opening her doe eyes and staring at her mother, her head tilted slightly.
"She's perfect." Jared muttered, looking down at the baby in his wife's arms in adoration, smiling.
"Isn't she? Just like her siblings." Aella paused, looking up at her husband in concern. "Speaking of, where are her siblings?"
Jared chuckled. "Relax. Emily and Sam have them in the waiting room. Andy and Alex are fine, Seb, on the other hand, is being really impatient, like his mother."
Aella laughed. "Hey, leave him alone. He's excited to meet his little sister and be an older brother for a change."
"Can you believe it? We're a family of six now." He breathed out in disbelief.
It seemed like only yesterday that he and Aella had rushed to the hospital for the birth of their third child, Sebastian Samuel Uley. The birth had been long and hard for Aella, who almost killed Jared halfway through. After nearly 24 hours, though, Aella finally gave birth to the healthy baby boy, and Jared miraculously survived.
They brought him home a day later, Andy and Alex apprehensive about the baby at first, but slowly warming up to being older siblings. They helped him to learn how to talk, helped to feed him, and even aided him when he learned how to walk. Really, the twins were great with Sebastian.
Right when Aella thought that they would only end up with three kids and that her babies were growing up, she learned that she was pregnant again, Jared ecstatic, especially when they found out the baby was another girl. Aella was not too happy, rather content with their family of five, but could not help but be excited as well, as this baby really would complete their family.
"And four kids is where we stop, Jar. You got two girls and two boys, what more could you want?"
"Don't worry, Ella. We're done, for real this time." She hummed, the baby in her arms becoming restless, a sign that she was about to cry.
Aella quickly handed her to Jared, who hushed the baby, bouncing her in his arms. She quieted down, cuddling into the warmth of his skin, skin that remained extremely warm even after he stopped shifting. Aella was grateful for that, as she was always cold and Jared's warmth was comforting to have.
Aella watched as Jared sang to the baby, lulling her back to sleep. He didn't look away from her, not until her eyes were shut again. Then, he passed her back to Aella carefully, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Aella adjusted her hold on the baby. "Do you think we should let them in?"
"Who? Everyone, or just the kids?"
"Just the kids. Give them a moment to meet their new baby sister." Jared grinned at the thought and nodded, squeezing Aella's shoulder.
"I'll be back in a second." He rushed downstairs and came back, knocking gently as he opened the door, three tiny figures beside him.
"Hey guys." Aella spoke, waving her children over. "Come meet her."
Andy and Alex did not hesitate, going to their mother's side, Aella lowering the baby for them to see her.
