Aella Theos groaned as she sat up, turning in Jared's arms.
It had been a few weeks since the wedding, a few weeks since Jacob made a scene that got him banned from Bella. He had come home but was very irritable and defensive. Even at the pack outings, he was bitter and only thought of killing Edward.
Jared and Aella were officially engaged and Alice had assumed the role of wedding planner. She already had a planning book and had many ideas of what they wanted. She had come to Aella's door after getting permission from Sam with a full book and a location in mind, along with a date. She claimed she had seen the wedding and that it was perfect.
Jared didn't mind as he didn't know the first thing about how to plan a wedding and was grateful that Alice had taken it upon herself to do all the heavy lifting. It surely relieved the pressure off the couple. And with Alice, they were assured the wedding would be sometime soon.
Aella grabbed her phone off the nightstand, raising an eyebrow as she saw Rosalie's contact.
"Babe?" Jared asked sleepily as she stood up, clicking answer.
"I'll be right back." She assured Jared, exiting the room and putting the phone to her ear.
"Rose?" Aella went to the backyard, conscious of Jared's super hearing.
"Aella, I need you to come over." Rosalie's urgent tone had Aella becoming more alert, her eyebrows furrowing.
"Now?"
"Yes, now!"
"But it's almost 3 am" Aella walked further into the backyard.
"Bella and Edward are back."
Aella's eyes widened, her looking back to the house to make sure Jared hadn't heard. If Jared knew, Jacob would know. "What? Why? They had a lot left!"
"They got in a....um....situation."
"What type of situation?" Aella could almost see Rosalie looking back, hearing as Rosalie paused.
"Rosalie, what happened?"
"Bella's pregnant."
"That's impossible."
"Apparently it's not. Edward wants her to abort but she-"
"-she wants to keep it." Aella chewed her bottom lip, thinking about what to do. If Jared found out, he would tell Sam and she already knew that would cause a big problem. They didn't know what Bella could be carrying and if Sam caught wind of Edward's reluctance, he would go over the edge.
"I'll be there in 10. Nobody knows she's back?"
"No, just us and now, you."
"Good. Jacob can't know yet, not until we learn more information."
"That's what we were thinking."
"How is Bella?"
Rosalie sighed. "Sick. She looks paler than usual."
"Rose, this can start a war if it gets out." Aella muttered, pacing the backyard.
"Trust me, I know. That's why she needs us to protect her."
Aella reentered the home, pausing right before the door. "See you soon, okay?"
"Hurry." Rosalie hung up, Aella holding the phone to her chest as she thought of a lie to tell Jared. She flinched at the idea of lying to her fiancé but she had no choice. Not until she had to tell him.
She gently closed their bedroom door, Jared fast asleep. She quietly and quickly got dressed, slinging on black nike sweatpants and trading Jared's shirt for a black sweater. She slipped on her white converse and was about to leave when Jared spoke.
"Where are you going?" He yawned, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"Alice needs me. Something about wedding dresses." She lied, shutting her eyes in regret.
"Can't it wait?"
"Afraid not." She leaned down, kissing Jared and standing straight again.
"I'll probably be there a long time knowing Alice so go back to sleep. I'll just sleep there."
Jared hesitated but nodded, burrowing back into the bed. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Aella got into her car, driving to the Cullen's. She was sure that if it was during the day, she would have gotten multiple tickets as she was speeding and ran red lights in her haste. She lazily parked, jumping out the car and meeting Rosalie halfway to the entrance.
The duo walked in, Aella rushing straight to Bella. "May I?" Bella nodded, leading Aella's hand to her stomach.
Aella gasped as the vision overcame her, the heartbeat filling her ears. The baby was a girl, long brown hair and Bella's eyes. She was beautiful, looking a lot like Edward.
Aella pulled her hand away, looking back to Rosalie. "It's true then."
Aella licked her lips as she sat next to Bella, thinking. "I'll stand by you on whatever you decide, Bella. Just know that."
"Thanks, it means a lot." Bella muttered, looking to Edward. Edward was angry, that was obvious. He looked at Bella's stomach in disgust, as if the baby inside of her was a horrible creature.
"Hey, dipshit, don't forget that half of this is your fault." Aella told him, Edward rolling his eyes.
"You're supporting this?"
"It's her body and her decision."
"It's killing her!" He spat, throwing his hands up.
"As Rachel Green once said, No Uterus, No Opinion."
Bella chuckled despite the situation. "Did you just quote Friends?"
Aella shrugged, leaning back. "What? It fits, doesn't it?"
