Aella Theos shivered as wind hit, burrowing further into Jared's hoodie. She listened as the ocean hit the shore and could not help but remember when she first met Jared.

It was a pack beach day and everybody, including Jacob, was there. Even Jacob's sister, Rachel, had come as she turned out to be Paul's imprint. Since Bella and Edward left, things had been calm in Forks, the pack more relaxed than ever.

"Do you need help, Em?" Emily looked up from her giant beach bag, nodding at Aella as she turned to her.

"Yeah, you seem to have a lot." Rachel added, glancing over her sunglasses.

"Aella, can you take out the food and lay it out on the blanket so the boys and Leah can just grab whatever they want and go? Rachel, set up the rest of the blankets and the umbrella please?"

The two girls nodding, getting to work immediately. Aella pulled out multiple large containers, occasionally looking up when the boys got too loud. Sam, Paul, Leah, and Jared were playing soccer along with the two newest wolf recruits, Brady and Collin. Leah walked away from the group, instead joining Jacob, Embry, and Seth.

Quil stood by the shoreline, little Claire by his side as the two played with the water.

Brady and Collin walked over, sitting on the blanket behind the three girls.

"You guys hungry?" Aella asked, making Brady blush. It was no secret that Brady had a crush on Aella, something she thought was adorable. Jared, on the other hand, was not a fan.

The two nodded tentatively, Aella motioning to the now open containers she had spread out. Brady and Collin dug in, Emily reminding them to leave some for the rest. The girls had their own snacks, not trusting the pack to leave them food.

Jared, Paul, and Sam eventually grew bored, walking over to the blanket. Sam draped himself over Emily's lap, Emily giggling as she played with his hair. Paul laid next to Rachel, his arm thrown around her loosely. Jared sat behind Aella, wrapping his arms around her shoulders as he argued with Paul.

"Fish can't see air, dumbass!"

Aella rolled her eyes, sharing a look with Rachel.

"How the hell would you know that? We can't see air but we can see water and air is what we live in!" Paul retorted.

"So?"

"So fish probably can't see water but can see air!" Rachel groaned at her boyfriend's words, burying her head in her hands.

"You idiot, air is a gas and we can't see gasses!"

"Smoke is a gas and we can see it!"

"That's the smartest thing you've said so far." Aella muttered, the group laughing as Paul glared at her.

"She's right." Rachel agreed, turning to her in shock.

"Gee, thanks Rach."

The group erupted in laughter again as Paul picked up some grapes, eating one and then holding the rest over Sam's mouth. The alpha smirked before opening his mouth, Paul dropping them in.

"I swear Samuel, if you start choking." Emily said between laughs.

"Whatcha thinking about, babe?" Jared whispered into Aella's ear when she zoned out, looking towards the horizon.

"Us."

"What about us?"

"We met here almost a year ago." Jared smiled at the memory.

"Yeah, we almost hit you."

Aella laughed, pushing Jared's shoulder slightly. "Not the best circumstances, I'll admit."

"But we're together because of it."

"We would have ended up together anyways. I'm your imprint, remember?"

"Yeah, you are my imprint." Jared spoke louder towards the end of his sentence, Brady turning away in embarrassment.

"Jared, stop, it's just a little crush." Aella scolded her smirking boyfriend as he tightened his hold on her.

"Yeah, a crush on my girl." He reminded her, pressing a kiss to her head.

"He'll get over it eventually."

"Moving on!" Paul cut in, slapping Jared's bare shoulder. Jared turned to glare at Paul, rubbing his shoulder.

"What?"

Paul motioned to Aella. "Remember what we talked about?"

Aella raised an eyebrow as the whole group turned to them, shifting so she was facing Jared. "What did you talk about?"

Jared glared at Paul even harder, sighing as he glanced back to Aella. "I was getting to it." He hissed to Paul, who rolled his eyes.

He turned back to Aella, grabbing her hands. "Ella, I love you."

Paul scoffed. "Boring!"

"What do you suggest I say?" Jared turned to Paul, visibly annoyed. Aella laughed at their antics.

"Something not so cliche?"

Jared turned back to Aella, shaking his head while muttering profanities. He then stood up, pulling Aella up with him.

"Walk with me?"

Aella nodded, clasping their hands together as they walked the opposite direction from the rest of the pack. At first it was silent, Jared fidgeting occasionally. Aella didn't push him, knowing he would say whatever was bothering him when he was ready.

He then sighed again. "Alright, alright. I was planning on a long speech about love and fate and all this other bullshit but, as much as I hate to say it, Paul is right. Ella, you are my imprint. My soul mate. And I know you'll probably say that I'm doing this because of the imprint but I swear I'm not. I'm doing this because you love me and I love you and we might run out of time with Bella around. So, marry me?"

Aella's jaw dropped as Jared pulled a box out of his pocket, dropping to one knee. He opened the box but Aella's gaze never left him, her hand over her mouth.

"Jar..."

"I'm serious, Ella. I love you, so damn much. And I don't care if your dad makes me suffer when I die or if he kills me and feeds me to your dog or if I have to become a god to be with you, I just want you."

"This changes everything, I mean I'm still set to become a goddess!"

"I don't care."

"Then I guess we are getting married."
