Aella Theos glared at her boyfriend as he stood up.

She had been with the Cullen's earlier and found out that Alice had a vision. Alice's vision depicted a chase after Victoria, the vampire after Bella. Carlisle had asked if she would inform the wolves of the vision as they could be of 'great assistance' to the chase.

Aella agreed, although she was reluctant to do so. She knew Jared and she knew he would not allow her to participate, no matter how strong or fast she was.

Rosalie had offered her a spot with the Cullen's as Edward was off in Florida with Bella and they could use another member for the run. Aella, though, declined, hoping that maybe Sam would allow her to help.

She had been wrong as the whole pack agreed with Jared that as an imprint, she should be kept safe. She was to stay with Emily, although Emily disagreed with them.

Jared frowned as he noticed Aella's glare, attempting to grab her hand. She pulled it away, Jared's frown deepening.

"Babe, come on. It's for your safety."

When Aella didn't reply, he sighed. "We'll talk later. I'll be back before you know it, just stay here for me."

"Sure, whatever."

He went to say something only for Paul to cut him off. "Jared, let's go!"

"I love you." Jared leaned in, Aella turning her head so his lips met her cheek instead. He sighed again but left, glancing back at Aella before disappearing completely.

Aella listened to make sure they were gone before standing herself. "Em, you'll be good here alone?"

Emily nodded, smirking slightly. Emily knew that the Cullen's offered to let Aella join their side and she knew that Aella would join them. "Go, before it's too late."

"Thanks, bye Em!"

"Take care, El"

Aella ran through the woods, careful to avoid the wolves scent. She made it to where the Cullen's stood within minutes, Emmett watching her with a smirk.

"I thought you weren't joining us tonight?"

"I had a change of heart."

"And by that she means that Jared didn't let her." Rosalie retorted, Aella glaring at the blonde.

"Alice, how much longer?" Aella asked the older girl, Alice staring away into the distance.

"On your right!"

The reaction was instantaneous, everyone running to the right as Alice had instructed. Aella was undoubtedly the fastest of the group, her godly genes giving her an advantage. Next to her was Emmett and behind the two, Rosalie.

Aella reached out, jumping to catch Victoria. Victoria, sensing Aella, jumped to the other side, into the wolves territory.

Aella groaned as she fell, quickly standing as she noticed the wolves chasing Victoria on the other side. She rejoined Emmett's side, the two watching the wolves.

"When do you think she'll jump back?"

Aella looked as Paul tried to bite Victoria. "Now."

She did as predicted, the duo smirking in satisfaction as they quickly caught up to her.

"She's getting away!" Rosalie called from behind them.

"No, she's not!" The sound of Aella's voice had Jared turning his head, watching as his girlfriend ran with the bloodsuckers. He growled, pushing ahead of Paul.

Aella heard the growl and flinched but wasn't deterred as both she and Emmett reached to grab Victoria. The woman jumped at the last minute, Emmett jumping after her.

"Emmett, no!"

He was knocked into the creek by Paul, Jared standing behind his best friend as the growled at the soaking wet vampire. Emmett stood up, growling back at the two wolves.

Aella sighed as she watched Victoria run off, laughing as she went. "Great, now she's gone."

Emmett climbed back up, following Aella as they joined the rest of the Cullen family. Aella tried her best to ignore the stares the wolves gave her, instead placing her hand over the cut she got on her left arm when she fell. Her hand glowed as she healed it, sighing in relief as she pulled her hand away. She followed the Cullen's to their home, getting in her car as they arrived.

"I'll see you guys soon?"

"Course. Thanks for the help tonight, you did good." Alice smiled at the redhead. Aella grinned back.

"Anytime."

Aella debated driving back to Emily's, deciding against it. Knowing Jared, he would be at her house. She was right, spying his figure leaning against her front door.

Lyra was away for the weekend, on some secret business for Hades. Aella thanked the gods that Lyra was away and wouldn't hear the argument she was sure she and Jared would have.

She got out of the car, shutting the door. "You couldn't even wait until after I got back home?"

Jared looked up, glaring at her angrily. "I told you to stay at Emily's and out of the chase."

Aella rolled her eyes, unlocking the door and going inside. Jared followed after her, slamming the door shut.

"Yeah, well, the Cullen's needed my help."

"It's not like it did any good! She got away anyways."

"She wouldn't have gotten away if you and Paul hadn't been more focused on blocking Emmett."

"Don't turn this around on me, Aella."

"I'm almost a goddess, remember? I'm stronger than all of you combined and I don't need your permission to do anything."

"I know you are but that doesn't change my instincts. And my instinct is to protect you!"

"I have enough protectors, don't you think?"

"Ella, I know you're mad. But you have to understand, I need you to be safe. I need to be sure that whatever happens, you'll be fine. Because if you're not, I won't be either."

"Jar. You have to trust me." Aella grabbed Jared's hands, him bringing her hand to his lips. He then brought Aella into his chest, leaning down to kiss her.

"I do trust you. And I'll stop undermining you as much as I can."

"That's all I ask."
