He had her body pressed against a wall, their lips moving in sync as their bodies pressed closer together. His hand traveled from her waist to her face, the other shooting down to grab her hand. He grasped it tightly, pushing it against the wall as well.

She gasped as his lips left her mouth, trailing down her neck instead. She bit her lip as he found her sweet spot, beginning to leave a red mark on her pale skin. His hands fumbled with the buttons on her shirt, her sliding it off as soon as he tore the rest of the buttons open. He then stopped, once more connecting his lips with hers.

"Jump." Jared muttered against Aella's lips, Aella following his command and wrapping her legs around his waist. Jared let go of her hand, sliding it under her leg to hoist her up. His free hand went to the button of her jeans, undoing it quickly.

Aella pulled away, breathing heavily as she looked down to make sure her legs were securely wrapped around him. She then grabbed the back of his head, smashing her lips against his.

Jared carried her to his bedroom, pushing the door open with his free hand and then kicking it shut.

It was Friday, the day before the battle would take place and the couple was spending it together. Jared was still reluctant on Aella fighting but accepted it, accepting the fact that his girlfriend could handle it. Lyra was, again, out of town, in Olympus with Artemis. They had unfinished business to work out.

Jared's parents, two people that constantly fought, had finally broken up early this week. He was upset, but relieved that it finally happened. His father had left them, driving to another town where he had a 'secret' mistress. It made it easier for Jared to send his mother away for the weekend as well, convincing her to visit a friend in New York.

Therefore, the couple was alone, alone for the whole weekend. And they didn't plan on wasting what might be their final time together.

Jared laid Aella down on his bed, hovering over her as she stared up at him. He stared into her eyes, the eyes he loved, brushing a stray piece of hair off her face. Her eyes fluttered shut at the contact, opening when he pulled away.

"Are you sure about this?" Aella laughed softly at Jared's question, wrapping an arm around his neck and using it to pull him close. She closed the gap between them, Jared not hesitating to kiss her back. Aella then pulled back, one hand lingering on the side of his face while the other stayed around his neck.

"I've let you go this far, haven't I?"

He smiled back at her, laughing when she wiggled out of her jeans. She laughed with him, pressing her lips to his once more.

....

Their legs were tangled together, his arm thrown over her shoulder where his hand was clasped with hers. His blanket was around his waist, almost completely wrapped around her body. Her head rested on his chest, her eyes looking ahead as she listened to his heartbeat. His free hand was around her waist, tracing random patterns on her skin as he stared out the window.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked, looking up at him. His eyes flashed downwards, meeting her curious gaze.

"Nothing much. Just the fight."

"Jared..."

He sighed, glancing away. Aella followed his gaze, frowning when she saw the picture on his desk. It was of him when he was younger, his parents on either side of him. The all looked happy, especially Jared who was squished between his parents.

"You were a cute kid." Jared looked back to Aella, the ghost of a smile of his lips.

"I was, wasn't I?"

Aella laughed. "So, are you going to tell me what's really on your mind?"

"I can't believe they finally ended it. I saw it coming but, it's still so weird."

"I thought you wanted them to break up?" Aella shifted, looking to Jared in confusion.

"I did. At least I thought I did." He sighed again, shaking his head.

"I should be glad. Mom deserved so much more and I knew Dad had another family."

"But it still hurt. It always does."

Jared shrugged. "I shouldn't even think about it. It'll distract me."

"Or motivate you." Aella suggested.

"It doesn't matter, Ella, really. I'll be fine."

"First of all, Jar, it matters. It hurts and bottling up won't help you."

"I'm not bottling it up. Truly. I just want to move on."

"Then I won't force you." Aella leaned up, Jared ducking so that their lips would meet faster.

"I love you, you know that? And I am so lucky to have you."

Aella laughed, burying her head in the crook of his neck. "I love you too, Jar."
