"Nanon, I'm going to that café. Do you want me to buy you anything?" Prim asks while we make our way back to my office to grab my phone.
"What if I drive you there instead? I don't have anything else on my plate right now. We can call our friends to come over," I suggest which she happily accepts.
Before making our path to our parents' office, we stop by at Prim's office to grab her purse and some documents for the project that she needs to work on. Afterwhich, we proceed to our parents' office on the same floor. Dad doesn't want to be away from Daddy even at work, so they've decided to use one office for both of them - sweet but ridiculously cringey at the same time.
"We're going to the café, do you want us to bring anything for you guys?" Prim asks.
"I want a caramel macchiato and an iced latte for your Dad," Win answers with a smile.
"I'll call Miller to prepare the car or do you want to just drive there?" Bright's eyes are fixed on me and I reciprocate by shaking my head.
"I'll drive. And we still need to pick up the dress that Prim and I bought from Sandee's place. It's on the way anyway and we'll be back here right after."
Both males agree. Prim and I walk towards the private lift inside the company premises which is on the farthest part of the hallways. The door opens and we step inside until the lift dings open on the ground floor. My car is already on the driveway with Miller waiting for us.
"Thank you, Miller."
"No problem. Do you want me to follow you?" Miller asks teasingly.
"Miller, I'm already 21," I jokingly roll my eyes making Miller crack up before giving me the key.
Once inside, I maneuver the car with ease from the company premises all the way to the highway in the direction of the café while Prim calls the others to meet up. The coffee shop is just a driving distance from our University, and that place had been our rendezvous since then.
Upon arrival, I pull over to the side of the road right in front of OffGun Café and turns the ignition into a stop. Afterwhich, we both step out of the car and into the entrance of the place. I inhale the alluring scent of the coffee's aromas around me which is now mixed with the sweet smell of the pastries filling the room. It's been a long time since I've been in this place, and somehow - it smells different, like a Christmas kind of scent lingering around. It's a faint scent but it's there.
And for some reason, my heart feels at peace just being inside this cozy, warm, and homey ambiance that emits comfort and snugness - most especially because of those smiles from the counter. A curl makes its way into my lips before I make my way to the spot that my friends had occupied.
My circle is quite a few and they're also from well-off families like us. Aside from that, we've all been friends since our diaper days owing to the fact that we're from the same pack, too. It is also hard for me to make friends with other Alphas from different packs because it seems that they have this silent grudge towards me which I had already learned to ignore quite extensively.
