NANON
Event organizers have been running around the office to prepare for the upcoming party this evening, together with Daddy Win and Prim. Lilly wanted to come with them earlier but she has school making her give me that sulky face throughout the whole ride which I find cute. Besides, she'd just get bored if she's actually here since Daddy and Prim had been up and about since eight in the morning to give out a hand for the event. As for me, I am completely enjoying my morning while I sat down with Dad Bright for a business meeting with the Ministry of Education.
Even before, I had always preferred being stuck in the meeting room for two hours or more than stress myself with details about the party and everything. Prim and Lilly, however always love to be hands-on in any event that the company holds. Daddy Win just wants to be with the girls, and make sure that they're not doing something unnecessary at all. Aside from that, Dad Bright prefers that I become more proactive with handling the business factly because I'd be graduating by next year.
Currently, I am enrolled in our own school, Lycan Institute taking up a Business course while Prim took Engineering for her major. Lilly is still enjoying her high school days. However, I have been inclined to Music since I came of age and had wanted to pursue a degree inline with the field - and yet, plans changed when I graduated from high school years ago.
No one forced me to take over the business that our family had, but I think that it is the proper thing to do since both of my parents had worked really hard to establish whatever that they have right now. And being the only son that they have, I came to a realization that it is my sole duty and responsibility to continue their legacy. Yes, too much of a cliché when you're a son or daughter of a business magnate. But to be also honest, I am not complaining because I've been trained and prepared for this very day. Even if I know that Dad really doesn't want me to feel the need of taking over, but of course, they're not getting younger anymore and I know that he also wants to just spend more time with Daddy. These two are still so in love after many years of being together, and sometimes - I envy them. But without them, the Chivaarees' wouldn't be where it is today, and for that fact alone, I am thankful but that doesn't mean that we're spoiled. No, we aren't because we still have to work hard for our allowances.
The family business does not only hold to retail services, but have branched out into airline, oil business, high fashion houses, apparel, breweries, banking, pharmaceuticals, construction, and many more.
The Chivaarees' are the richest family in America and by some measures the wealthiest clan in the world. At the top of the value chain, Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree, and Win Metawin-Chivaaree, are each worth more than $55 billion and ranked #3 and #4, respectively, on Forbes annual list of billionaires.
That added too much pressure to me, not much to my twin, and to our youngest who doesn't have any idea how rich she is. And I'd prefer that it stays that way because I don't want people to befriend her just because she is capable, and besides, Lilly had never been exposed to the media as per my parents' instructions. No one wants to have our little Omega be flaunted for every Alpha to drool upon, and I'd make sure that no one lays a finger on her. Not on my watch.
