We are both sitting in the back seat of the car while Miller is driving us all the way to Chimon's apartment - apparently, the sleepover will happen and he needs to take some clothes with him since it's a school day tomorrow. Besides, I am pretty sure that nothing inside my wardrobe would fit him, 'cause I have a much bigger physique comparable to him. Also, I can't seem to take him out of his space. Though I want to talk with him, Chimon's eyes are glued on the outside since earlier even if our hands are tangled - he seems lost, and distant all of a sudden.
"Baby~" I whine and Chimon flinches before looking at me with a worried expression, I smile. "Are you still thinking about what View told you about? Is that why you're being really silent, love? Are you worried?"
"No," he shakes his head and moves closer to me until he's leaning on my shoulder, playing with my fingers all the while giving me deep sighs. "I'm just worried that she will do something that could cause chaos in your life. I told you before, didn't I that my presence in your life would only bring you inconvenience and probably shame. I can't let that happen, Nanon, so I'm thinking that maybe..."
"We're not," I say sternly since I have a vague idea of what he is about to say to me, and I'm not taking delight in that idea that he is about to express. Chimon backs away and squeezes my hand comfortably and I stare at him. "We're not doing anything wrong, and she is the one who is making her way between us. So why should we do something that we both know that we don't want?" I can feel the rage that I am having just thinking of how rude View had been and injecting nonsense to Chimon's mind - even calling him a pet.
"Nanon, listen, please. I'm doing this for you," Chimon says, and lets my hand go as he fiddles it. "I don't want you and your family to be involved in a scandal or anything if that's what she is planning to do. So we should prevent it from happening."
"No, you're not leaving me and I'm not leaving you, either. You should know how stubborn I am when you first knew me, right? I'm not letting her get in between us, and save your reasonings because I won't break up with you or anything. Deal with it."
Chimon chuckles and I look at him with a confused expression.
"What is so funny?"
"You are indeed stubborn," he answers back and leans back with his arms around my waist. "I'm just afraid that this will blow out of proportion and that your parents would be mad or something."
"My parents are strict, that's a given but they wouldn't do anything to put us in a difficult situation or let us make decisions that they know would hurt both of us. They're not bad people, Chimon, because they are the most understanding people in our world, and I know that they will protect us if View does something. So, don't be burdened about such things. We'll deal with the repercussions of her actions when it's time, but since she's just threatening right now - there's not a need for us to get so worked up about it. Okay?"
