CHIMON
"Welcome home, honey."
My eyes trail on Nanon who is offering me a reassuring smile as if he doesn't know either that I will be meeting his family. Instinctively, I grab his hand and gently squeezes it to release the tension that is running inside my body, and the amount of anxiousness that is about to resurface from being inside a room with unfamiliar people. Worry laces Nanon's expression and as much as I don't want to concern him about it, I cannot help myself from being nervous and jittery.
"Hello, Chimon," Win's soothing voice interrupts my consciousness and he wraps me in his embrace - and the nervousness dwindles to a tolerable degree.
"Welcome, Chimon," Bright expresses as he hugs me, as well, and though his embrace is warm - I find Win's hug much more comfortable and relaxing.
"T-t-thank you."
As I continue to stare at the two males, I notice how much Nanon takes after Bright except for the eyes since Nanon has cognac which I assume is from Win. And now that I think about it, Nanon mentioned before that he isn't adopted and I know for sure that he isn't. But why does he take after both males in that case though the silver hair is not from any one of them? In the midst of my continuous confusion, Prim appears out of nowhere and jumps unto me making me laugh from her show of affection. Once more, I am greatly confused as to why is she here in the first place? I mean, I know that they have the same circle of friends but this is supposed to be a family gathering, right?
"Prim, why are you here? Where are the others?"
"What? Nanon didn't tell you anything about me?"
Shocked, I shake my head. "Tell me about what?"
"I'm his twin!" She exclaims and my eyes widen in disbelief because we've been hanging out since the first day that I started to go to the University and yet - I didn't know that they are actually blood-related.
"What? You two?" I point to Nanon and Prim alternately. "Twins? You don't look the same at all!" I almost shout but can hold my voice back into a normal voice. "When did this happen?"
"Uhm, since birth?" Nanon pipes and raises one eyebrow to point out my stupidity, and I want to disappear in an instant as the four of them share some chuckles.
"Hi, my name is Lilly!" A female appears again, and this time, I am in awe of her beauty and simplicity though she still emits the same aura of lioness inside of her - just like Prim. "I'm the youngest Chivaaree, and the most beautiful one compared to my older sister and older brother."
Prim snarls in annoyance and I just giggle when Lilly offers her embrace, which I take whole-heartedly until she backs away. As I look at them, my heart feels so light and warm because the five of them just give off this very comfortable and accepting vibe, as if I am very much welcome in the household even though I am a nobody to them. Once more, I firmly believe that the media couldn't showcase how humble and loving this family is - and I feel proud to be experiencing it firsthand.
