"It's not the end until it's okay."

When Hwara finally wakes up, her eyes immediately shut close again due to the blinding white light on the medic room back in the main base.

"Fucking hell," she mutters, lifting her hand to her head, only to feel the rough bandaging. She slightly opens her eyes to see her hands tightly bandaged. What the hell happened?

Then she remembers the feeling of being stabbed again in the exact same spot—no, she remembers everything. Those memories cause her face to go grim, disturbed greatly by everything that happened these past couple of days. The memories from three years ago make everything worse, almost making her sick to the stomach at the thought of them

"Hwara?" a familiar voice calls out, her thoughts pausing momentarily.

Hwara turns her face at the voice, looking at Taeil. Her surprised face, however, comes from seeing the sleeping boy next to her knees. Looking at the boy and realizing that he had stayed here for a long time, she lets out a small smile.

"H-How long has he been here?" Hwara asks.

"Since you went unconscious, so about two days," Taeil speaks, looking through some papers at the same time.

That's a long time. His back must be hurting.

As if he feels a signal, the boy finally wakes up, lifting his sleeping head to see exactly where he is. Quickly doing a stretch, he then faces Hwara, eyes widening as he sees she's awake.

"Oh, uh. How are you?"

Hwara sighs, looking at her palms. She doesn't really know how she feels. She's scared, in part for having some of her memories back. Those memories themselves made her too scared to even close her eyes. To add on to everything that happened these last few days, she doesn't even want to think about it.

Jisung, easily sensing her confusion and hesitation, looks toward Taeil. "Could you give us a moment? And tell Sungchan that she's awake?"

Wordlessly, Taeil nods before leaving the room. Jisung moves his chair closer to Hwara before resting his face on his left fist against the bed. Quickly, he takes Hwara's right hand, flipping it over before gently lifting it toward her face. Hwara's eyes widen as she sees the soulmate mark, more vibrant and luminous than it has ever been due to the skin contact.

Jisung ever-so-slightly smiles at her much more obvious expressions. She seems to be getting more expressive.

"You're my soulmate?!"

"Yeah," he says, scratching his neck awkwardly after pulling back his hand. The luminous glow slowly fades away, but the actual daisy mark itself is still darker than ever. "I-Is that bad?"

Hwara tries to contain a light giggle but miserably fails, coughing a little toward the end. "Did the Park Jisung just stutter?"

"Just answer the question, Love," Jisung mumbles, glaring at her. For the first time, her stomach feels weird and her face feels like it's on fire. She quickly recovers, not trying to show this new feeling on her face.
